So this is kind of Part 3 of my "Should I Have Done This?" series, and it involves both a big and small change. First the small change. Luke's chose his father's old blue Lightsaber during his battle against Kylo Ren on Crait, and a part of me wanted Luke to wield his green lightsaber in the actual movie even though it felt unlikely he would use the green one, but he still wielded one nonetheless. Because I love you people, here is an edit I made a bit long ago to give you guys an idea of what I'm saying.
Now for the big change. I was thinking about the tradition of Skywalker's getting their hand cut off in the second movie. You probably know where I'm going with this. When the movie came out I was wondering if Rey or Kylo might lose one of there hands during a possible rematch, but that didn't happen, but then again there's Episode IX coming out so it's still possible and likely. And then there's Jacen who managed to survive the traditional curse. When I was still writing, Jacen was going to get shot in the hand before Rey used the Force to lift the rocks and save the Resistance, but I thought he suffered enough already so it was a bit close. If you could choose, whose hand would you cut off, Rey or Kylo? And did you want Luke to wield his Blue or Green Lightsaber? Let me know in the comments!
