Chapter X: The Connection

Rey wakes up with the sunlight shining on her face. She sits up from her bed, looking around her hut, thinking about her Jedi training.

Kylo sits on the medical chair, as the droid removes the bandage from the lower half of his scar as if it was being sewn off. Thinking about the attack on the Resistance cruiser.

Rey looks around the hut as she starts sensing something, a dark presence.

Kylo signals the droid to stop removing the bandage of his scar, as he starts sensing something, not the pull to the light, but something, no, someone else.

Rey kept looking around to see what she was sensing, until she saw him, how was he here? How could he be here? In her hut?

She just sat there, confused, she was looking at him. Kylo was also confused, how was the Scavenger here?

Rey then takes her blaster from her holster and shoots him in the stomach, and he just disappeared, only leaving a hole in the hut. She runs out of her hut, confused and scared at the same time. Why was she seeing that monster?

Kylo felt the blazing pain of blaster fire on his stomach, but there was nothing there, and after a few moments it was gone, and so was she. Kylo then ran out of the medical room and ran into the hallway, as he slips into the entrance of another hallway, seeing nothing but a mouse droid strolling by.

Rey runs outside, wondering why she has these hallucinations again. She then sensed the dark presence again as she turns around, for he was behind him.

Kylo sensed her again, as he turns around to see her again. The Scavenger was here again, as he reaches his arm out, hoping to get the location of Luke Skywalker, knowing that she found it.

"You will bring Luke Skywalker to me." He said as he begins to use the Force, but nothing happened, she wasn't affected. He then let's his arm down, wondering why she was here. "You're not doing this, the attempt would kill you." Said Kylo, knowing that using a power like Force Projection would be suicide. If she wasn't using any Force powers, then how was she here? Or was she not here at all? "Can you see my surroundings?" Kylo asked.

"You are going to pay for what you did!" Rey shouted angrily, recalling the last time she saw Han Solo.

"I can't see yours. Only you." Said Kylo. "...this is something else." He said, fascinated by this situation as he senses another presence. "Luke." He whispered.

"What's that about?" Asked Luke as he steps out of his hut as Rey turns to see that Kylo Ren has disappeared, and there were two nun like creatures rebuilding her hut, fixing the hole she blasted as they curse under their breath. In fact, there were nun like creatures everywhere.

"I was cleaning my blaster and it went off." Rey lied, unsure of what just happened.

"Let's get started." Said Luke as he walks up the mountain as Rey catches up with him. "How did Jacen deal with this?" Luke thought.

"Who were those things?" Asked Rey, referring to the beings working around the huts.

"Caretakers, island natives, they've kept up the Jedi structures since they were built." Luke answered as they walked up the mountain.

"I don't think they like me." Said Rey.

"Can't imagine why." Said Luke, as they kept walking the mountain, ready to begin the first lesson of Rey's Jedi Training.

As Jacen takes the transport pod out of lightspeed, the blue tunnel of light turned back into the starry area of space, and in front of it was the desert planet of Tatooine on his windshield. The Transport pod enters the atmosphere of the planet revealing desert like sand hills.

"Alright I'm there." Said Jacen, speaking to the small blue holographic image of Finn projected on his commlink.

"Ok be careful, I heard that Tatooine can be dangerous." Said Finn. "Especially the spaceport."

"I think I can manage." Said Jacen as he shows him one of the two lightsaber hilts he had.

"May the Force be with you." Said Finn.

"Goodbye old friend, may the Force be with you." Said Jacen, as the holographic image of Finn fades away in his hololink as he flies the transport pod over what looks like a Space Port as he finds a landing spot as the ship slowly lowers down into the hangar as it lands onto the sandy ground. The cockpit opens as he feels the heat of the desert planet. Jacen then flips the hood over his head as it covers his face.

"Alright Mom, I'm here." Said Jacen. "Where are you?"
