Chapter 8: A Secret Song

Ashton’s POV

I woke up with a pounding in my head, and a stranger in the same bed as me. Clothes were strewn everywhere, even on the ceiling fan. Where am I? I asked myself. And then like a bomb went off, everything crashed down in my mind. The party. Me getting high as heaven. Me telling Luke about how I felt. Kissing him. Finding an empty room.

“Oh, my, God.” I whispered, but even the quiet sound made my head pound with the fury of a thousand drums. The person beside me groaned before turning to face me. “Luke?” I whispered as silently  as I could.

“Ashton?” he responded, equally as quiet. “What did we do last night?” he asked me. I shrugged before sitting up. Bad idea. Pain shot through me, mostly emanating from my head, and from my arse.

“I think I know.” I winced.

“W-We did-” Luke went into full out panic mode as well. He shifted up into a sitting position, but let out a whine as he sat. “Yep, we did.” Both of our faces were contorted in pain. The memory of last night danced through my mind, like a very inappropriate movie.

“If it helps, you are quite large.” I giggled some. Ug that hurt too!

“Guys?” a soft  voice called in from the door. We groaned in response. Perrie walked in, sympathy filled her face. “I’m sorry you guys! Not to be rude, but I think the whole city heard you two.” Well that sucks the big hairy meatball. “Here’s some Advil and water. Hope you're okay.” She smiled and exited the room.

“Oh God!” I whispered. I need to leave, now. I just slept with a guy I barely know! And from what I can tell, we will have hurt bums for a week. “I have to go.” I mumbled before hobbling quickly towards my underwear. I grabbed all of my clothes and hastily put them on.

“Ashton, please, can we talk about this?” Luke begged me. I shook my head and ran out to the door. There was no way I could stay in the same place as Luke, especially with the memories flying around my mind.

As I got out of the house, I started running. Running I knew not where, or why, I just ran. Everything rushed back into my head, every move I made, every sound, every touch. I saw every muscle in Luke’s body. I saw him above me, I saw him below me. Tears streamed from my eyes at the endless montage.

“Ashton!” a voice yelled at me. I stopped dead in my tracks. The voice wasn’t Luke’s, but it comforted me like a warm blanket. Footsteps fell behind me, and a warm hand turned me around softly. Dark brown eyes stared into my own. “Ash, baby, what happened?” Calum asked me.

“I-I-I I screwed up!” I cried. I fell into Calum and buried my face in his neck. He wrapped his arms around my sobbing body, and held me.
