Chapter 4: Friends and Secrets

Ashton’s POV

Jade came back over with our check in hand. “Uhm, I would like to apologize for my behavior, I had no idea that you guys were, ya know…” she trailed off.

“It’s okay.” Luke said with a small smile. “I would like to apologize for my behavior.” Luke looked to me, then back at Jade. “I was inexcusably rude, and I'm sorry for that.”

“Don’t worry it’s fine.” Jade grinned. “You know, you two are pretty cute.” Her  eyes flicked from Luke to me.

“Yeah, I guess so.” I looked at Luke and smiled. Jade giggled and muttered something about our check. From somewhere in the room, sunlight shone in and hit Luke perfectly. His golden hair shone in the sunlight like a halo. A small bit of light highlighted his face and made his vibrant blue eyes sparkle. It was as blue as the ocean, and even more beautiful. His light complexion accented his eyes to a point of pure perfection. The black lip ring stood out in a sexy way, making my stomach erupt with butterflies every time he smiled. I felt like an ugly potato looking at the god in front of me.

“You okay, Ash?” Luke asked me, grabbing my hand from where it lay by my plate.

“What? Yeah, I’m fine.” I murmured. I smiled before looking around the restaurant. I saw Jade standing with three other girls, a blonde and two other brunettes, and they all turned and stared at our table. They all turned back to each to each other squealing and laughing. “Luke, are they fangirling over us?” I asked.

“It appears so.” He chuckled. The four girls started walking towards us, very slowly. When they got to our table they were a mess of giggles. The blonde girl was first to speak.

“Hi, my name is Perrie.” She said. Perrie had beautiful blue eyes, but not as beautiful as Luke’s. She had skin the color of cream, and not a single blemish. She had in a nose ring, adding a variation to her look. Her hair was pale blonde, and not all that long. The exact way my mum would describe her is an angel on earth.

“I’m Jesy.” Said the girl next to her. She had dark brown hair, about the same length as Perrie’s. she had full lips, and warm brown eyes. Her tan skin made the black ink of her tattoo stand out. She was also stunning.

“And I’m Leigh-Anne.” Said the last girl standing by Jade. She had darker skin than the rest of the girls, and a kind smile. She had the longest hair of the girls, and it was as dark as night. Her brown eyes held kindness, as did her smile.

“Hey, I’m Ashton.” I spoke up first.

“And I’m Luke.” He smiled. He stared at the girls as if studying a work of art. Oh no. I thought to myself. Luke is going to take one look and these goddesses and leave me in the dust. As if he heard my thoughts, Luke rubbed his thumb over my knuckles again, soothing me.
