"Hello Ganondorf." She said looking up at him.

"H-hello Y/N." He said stuttering.

"Haha, to think a 27 year old guard be stuttering in front of a commoner like meself." She looked at her eyes, they shined in the orange light of the sun. She cocked her head to one side, he realised he had been staring at her. He shook his head.

"Why did you come to the castle?" He asked her.

"Can't I pay my respects to the royal family?" She asked putting one hand on her hip.

"Well it's....." he didn't truly know what to say. Y/N smiled.

"It's good to see you to old friend."

"Old friend?" He asked a bit shocked she would call him that.

"Well you did spend the night at me house didn't ya?" She asked cocking an eyebrow. He looked away.

"We only knew each other for one day. I hardly know you."

"Well, nows ya chance to get to knows me." He smiled at her. "So, how's ya job treatin' to ya?"

"Well It's been fine, a few odd rouges here and there but nobody I couldn't handle." He spoke proudly.

"And 'ave ya found yourselfs a nice lady yet?" Y/N asked with a chuckle. Ganondorf looked down at her a bit shocked.

"Umm, nobody as of yet. I haven't really been looking though." He explained.

"That be a shame. Where I'm from, the girls love a man in a uniform." She said gleefully.

"Where are you living right now? Don't you still live in the forest?" He asked. Y/N looked down at the ground, a look of remorse crossed her features.

"A few years back, there was a raid of bandits. They weren't looking for us in particular, but they stumbled across our home on a whim. They demands money, but we didn't have none. So they.... burned it to the ground. Me mother passed that day, but me papa survived, minus his legs though." Ganondorf looked at her with a look of sympathy.

"I'm so sorry Y/N. They should be bought to justice." He said crossing his arms with a huff.

"Can't be bought to justice when ye don't have a head." Y/N said looking up at Ganondorf with a somewhat forced smile.

"I can assume you did that?" He asked lowering his posture raising an eyebrow.

"I always was a hunter. No different to any other cowardly prey." Y/N explained.

"They should've bought down the right way. Through court or some sort of legal system." He explained.

"To bads. I gots to them first." She said crossing her arms with a look of anger on her face.

"Y/N."

"What?!" She said looking up at him with a face of anger. When Ganondorf gave her a look of a disappointed father, she also began to look guilty.

"They deserved it. I just skipped the whole process ya see."

"I should put you in jail." He said sighing. Y/N looked up at him with a look of shock, "But considering the circumstances you get a free pass, but only one." He said pointing up his index finger.

"Thanks mate." She said with a soft smile. They both stood in awkward silence for a moment before Y/N pushed out a yawn and stretched her arms. "Welp~ I should hit the sack. The moon's out and I'm awfully tired after the treck."

"Where will you be staying?" He asked concerned.

"I've booked a wee hotel room. You can catch me in the morning if you're early enough. Gotta find something before I leave." She walked off and waved goodbye. He waved as well and went back to the castle to his own quarters.

The moon glimmered on his armour blinding the princess who and been snooping on him from her window. She looked through the small telescope she had once more and watched him enter the castle. The little blue bird sat on the end of the scope and chirped happily into the night.

"Either he's planning something with her," Zelda looked up at her bird who had turned to face her "or he has a girlfriend."
