Awakening, Y/N found herself in an oddly comfortable bed. She felt around the soft sheets and the warmth the fluffy blankets gave her. She allowed herself to relax into the equally soft pillows and was tempted to dose off once aguain. But then a thought popped into her head, well a series of thoughts really. Her town had been attacked by the Hylians, Her home burnt to ashes, she had been saved by Ganondorf and...... wait a minute.
She shot up in a flash and looked around the room she had occupied. It was definetely not her room, looking outside the small circular window she saw a desert that spread far and wide. She cringed as she thought of her situation. She is almost certainly in Ganondorf's home town. She is most likely in his house. This is most likely his bed. There is no other home to go to so she may be stuck here for Farore knows how long. Y/N curled up into a ball on the bed to comfort herself on her situation. It was only until a knock was produced on her door and she slowly and shakily got to the door. She opened it to see a young girl before her. She stood in the doorway confused, expecting to see the large frame of Ganondorf, not the frail frame of the neatly dressed woman in front of her.
"Good morning Miss." She spoke politely getting Y/N out of her confused trance.
"Ummm. Morning." She spoke trying her best to be polite and at least act like she had any idea of her predicament.
"Your bill was already paid but I'm afraid that was for one night only, may you please up your things and leave." She said. Y/N just looked at her with a blank expression.
"My.... Bill? I'm sorry where am I?" She spoke even more confused than ever. The lady looked up at her with her thin eyebrows raising in confusion.
"You're in the Brooksberg Inn Miss."
"Brooksberg?"
"Yes, it is one of the central districts within our town." She explained.
"O-okay. I'll just... get my stuff ready." She said with a forced smile and laugh. She closed the door and thought over her predicament again. She is in Ganondorf's home town. But she is not in his house. Nor is this is his bed. There is still no other home to go to so she may be stuck here for Farore knows how long.
Y/N walked to the small yet comfy bed and collapsed on it's sheets. She laid there for a few minutes dreading having to walk into town and possibly run into Ganondorf. Knowing her luck he'd be the first person she'd see. She finally picked herself up and finding no item of hers, she left with a goodbay and a thankyou to the lady at the desk.
As soon as she stepped outside the light from the sun blinded her, there was a thin veil of clouds covering the sun only helped to spread the light and made it an even brighter white light. She used her hand to sheild her eyes from the sun by using it as a make shift hat and traversing the large town. She had only made it to the market place before she felt a large hand grip her shoulder, she instantly knew who it was and turned around slowly. She locked her E/C eyes with the golden ones of Ganondorf. She smiled sheepishly as he gave her a surprisingly friendly gaze.
"You should come with me." He said holding her shoulder and dragging her along.
"Why'd you leave at the Inn?" She asked curious.
"I thought you'd be mad at me if I had taken you with me back to my own home." He said not looking at me and instead looking ahead.
"Well at least you put thought into some things." She said jokingly.
"I plan everything." He choked out only obtaining half his usual confidence as he looked at the young Y/S next to him.
"You don't sound very prepared whenever you talked to me. I've still have not heard a good answer to my question." She said crossing her arms. Ganondorf released her shoulder feeling it best to give her a bit of freedom.
"I.... I can't explain it to you just now, for I have yet to fully understand it myself. May I just say that I have an overwhelming sense to make something up to you?" She looked up at him confused, but excepted the answer with a sigh.
"Fine. But you have to tell me once you know your answer." She said with a huff. He smiled gratefully and walked with her deeper into town. Y/N was so mesmerized by all the new scenery that she had not asked another important question.
"Where are we going?" She asked looking at the man's poofy red hair as it had shielded his face from her view.
"My home." He said blankly.
"I thought you didn't want me to be mad at you?" She asked stopping there. He turned to her.
"Well no. But I assumed you wanted somewhere to live."
"Live!? I am not living with you!" Y/N yelled aloud.
"Pardon? I thought we were just getting on good terms there." Ganondorf said spinning around and opening his hands towards Y/N.
"We were, until you thought I'd want to live with a beast like You!" By now a few towns people had started listening to the argument that was taking place right in front of them.
"I am no beast! It was not my fault the Hylians attacked You!" He shouted.
"Yes it was! You even admitted it! Your proxy of men continuously rampages through our town and that caused them to take action. Granted it was not a necessary one, but if you had only left us alone they would never had attacked! Why did you even start going there? Why did you keep returning? Even before you knew the king was going to attack?" Y/N had small tears pricking in her eyes, she was so angry, so confused. She wanted to run away but stayed put to find answers. Ganondorf tried calming the situation slightly, finding the attention received unsettling.
"Because no matter what the circumstances were I felt the need to... make something up to you. I think I now know why now, but I'm not sure. I felt like I had taken something away from you, no, multiple things. I don't know why but I feel like I took myself away from you too. Believe me or not I want to make you happy, I thought maybe a friend or family would bring you that happiness." He said speaking softly and close to Y/N's ear. She felt her regret of yelling at him settle in.
"Well.. " she was about to let her stubbornness set in but she needed to bypass that for now if she wanted answers. "Thank you. But I need to know, what do you think you know? You said you think you know now, so please tell me so I have some idea of what's going on."
"Alright." He said in defeat. "But at least let us make our way back to my home." She nodded and the two went on there way.
