Y/N awoke on the comfy futon, she had used her arm as a pillow and she relished in the warmth of her own body. Stretching out she felt the warm morning air of the desert home brush over her goosebump covered skin. She pulled her hand to her mouth and let out a satisfying yawn that filled her lungs with precious oxygen. She sat up and rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes. Looking around she found no Ganondorf and decided to get in a small morning walk. She walked towards the door, finding it difficult with all the bright colours blinding her still tired sight. Finally she was walking along the desert sand in her clothes she had been wearing for three days now. She thought of buying more cloths as she walked pass a few shops and stalls, however she remembered she had nothing in this town other than Ganondorf. She growled to herself at the thought, she had been independent all her life, why should she need someone now?
She neared the edge of the town and was instantly reminded why she needed Ganondorf. The ruins of the town were just barely visible from her standing point. She felt her heart ache. He entire world was just there. Destroyed. Pummeled to the ground until only ash remained, even now the scattered ash had flown away into other lands. She reminded herself of the people responsible for her home's demise. She grit her teeth and searched the town for her horse, knowing Ganondorf had helped her escaped on him.
She wandered through the entire town until finally she found him in a small pen. she thanked the farmer for taking care of him and had a short reunion with him. She ran her hand along his neck and cringed at the small and slithered burn marks that marked his glorious brown coat. She sighed and geared him up, making him adorn his leather saddle and her up top. She lead him out of town and into the desert, getting a few odd looks from some other folks doing their daily shopping. One in particular drinking his hot beer in the seat outside of the pub.
Ganondorf awoke late into the morning. Looking through his window and out at the sun he could see it was about 10 am. He wondered what had awoken him but a harsh knock to the door answered him. He walked through the lounge seeing no Y/N, as expected. He opened the door and saw Killorin look up at him with an irritated expression.
"Killorin? What's wrong?" Ganondorf asked worried.
"Who died two nights ago?" He asked sternly. Ganondorf looked at him and then looked to the ground in regret.
"...Jerick..." He said painfully.
"And for what!?" Killorin almost yelled. "For one measly girl!? Only for said girl to run back to her home!?" Ganondorf looked up at him in shock. He assumed she went somewhere else in town. Not back to her old home. He grabbed Killorin's shoulders and leaned into his face.
"Wait what!? Where is She? How did she leave." Ganondorf did not see the hand that came to slap him in the face. All he felt was the sting.
"You see! Your blindly obsessed with that girl that you'd gladly put your men's lives on the line to simply make her miserable and force her to run away!" This time he did yell and right in Ganondorf's face. Ganon looked back up at him with a sympathetic look. He removed his hands from Killorin's shoulders.
"Killorin. I do not gladly put my men's lives at risk. I try to put in as much caution as I can. As for my.... interests in Y/N, I can not explain. I know you feel betrayed that I'd pick her over all you. But know that is not the truth. I may feel deeply for Y/N but that will not cut the bond that I grew up with and built with all of you. You're right. My past actions have been.... misguided. And I will forever remember Jerick as my best friend and most loyal man. But I ask this; If you were in an unrequited relationship, would you still not do everything in your power to make sure they are safe? My methods may be extreme but that's only because of my power. I can easily keep her safe." Ganondorf explained to the now calm Killorin.
"Sir, I can respect your decisions. But if she's already left for the desert it clearly shows where her own interests lie." Ganondorf frowned. He nodded looked towards the street that lead to the edge of the town.
"I understand Killorin, I'll do as you and she wish and leave Y/N to herself and whatever she wishes to do." Killorin smiled lightly.
"Thank you Sir. I know it's hard, but it will get better in time."
"In a lifetime." Ganondorf whispered to no one.
Y/N rode her horse passed her old home. Her eyes teared up as her steed ran at full speed to get her to her destination. The stallion found it difficult to stay upright as he rode over the desert dunes and sand, but thankfully it started becoming a more stable and greener ground. The small flowers in the grass produced petals that flickered up into the air and around Y/N. She squinted her eyes and saw the Hyrulian castle in the distance. She rode through the town but saw a particular shop that gave her an idea for a heinous plan. She walked through the door and saw the shopkeepers eyes widen in delight. His fluffy brown beard along with his bald head
"Well hello~ my dear! How may I help you today?" Y/N smirked.
"How much for each?"
