He started to head out of the apartment and I followed. As soon as we left the building I asked, "Why was it so unsafe in my apartment right now?"

"Remember how I told you that I wasn't the only one who knew about your tattoos and the prophecy, well they think they've found you." He said quietly as we walked.

"Oh...will I be able to go back?" I asked quietly. He nodded. It was 5:00 in the morning and I didn't know how safe New York City was, but if Loki's plan was that who ever 'found' me would follow us to the crowds and then they would loose us, then I would go along with it.

"My plan is to that if they follow us, we can lead them into the crowd, after all the city never sleeps so it won't be that hard." He said. I smiled as the last part of the sentence.

As we walked, he stayed close to my side and watched out for suspicious activity. We had been walking for a while and heading in the direction of Central Park.

We soon got there and the space was a little more open. I felt like a was being watched.

"Loki..." I whispered.

"Shh...I know." He answered. We stopped and acted as if we were taking in the scenery opposed to looking for mysterious activity. I looked up at Loki and saw that he had spotted suspicious looking men following us. Loki faced me.

"Kiss me." He said.

"What?!" I said. I was taken aback by what he said. Why did he want me to do that.

"Public affection makes people feel awkward." He stated. Before I could open my mouth to say anything, he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close, and then kissed me. I was enjoying this, even though I probably shouldn't have.

I could feel those strange men's eyes burning into me as Loki kissed me. I tried to ignore it and acted as if we were a couple. My hands gripped the lapels of his black leather jacket.

I felt him smirk and I pulled away and looked down, blushing. He didn't move his arms from my waist and I didn't move mine from the lapels of his jacket. He turned his head and looked to see if those men were still there. They weren't. I sighed with relief, but although the 'danger' had passed, he didn't let go of me. And I didn't want him to. Instead I leaned into his chest and listened to his heart beat. He hugged me and buried his nose into my hair. Now I wasn't so sure if this was just for show. It felt pretty real to me.

I suddenly realized that I had feelings for him. I cared about him. The feeling was spontaneous but after all he did for me, it dawned upon me that without him, I would b quite lost, rather confused and above all, out of control. I decided not to say anything because I didn't know how he would react.

"Let's go." He whispered before pulling away.

"Just in case we are still being followed, we will take the longest route back to your apartment and continue to pretend that we are a couple." He said. I nodded and he took my hand. We headed back to my apartment.
