Thor's POV

I returned to Asgard while Loki was busy helping Astrid. I had to tell the Allfather what Loki had just done. Was this Loki trying to get revenge on us or did he truly love her? Loki had a silver tongue and it was impossible to tell.

I arrived at the throne room at the palace.

"Father, I bring word of what Loki is doing." I said as I bowed and then straightened up. He nodded me on.

"He has asked the one of the prophecy to marry him, and she agreed to do so."

Astrid's POV

Loki pulled me close and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back. He appeared to be frightened about what had just happened, the fact that I had almost froze.

"Let's go home." He whispered before scooping me up and carrying me home. I didn't mind, I just pressed my face into his chest and gripped his t-shirt.

We got home and he set me down on the couch and curled up beside me. He seemed scared. Thor knew about what Loki asked me and what would he do? As if Loki knew what I was thinking he spoke.

"He's went back to Asgard to tell the Allfather, Odin, that I proposed. They think I am lying, that I do not love you and simply want to bind myself to you and use you for my own purposes. But, I do love you and they can't except the fact that I am feeling something toward someone and that someone being a Midgardian." He whispered, resting his head on my lap, looking up at me. "They're going to try to take you away from me." He said quietly. I gasped a little.

"I don't know when, but soon, before I can marry you..." He continued.

"Well then we should plan to have the wedding as soon as possible, and you still have meet my parents." I said and he rolled his eyes jokingly at the second part.

"What, I know you don't want me to meet yours, but I want you to meet mine." I said.

"I want you to meet my adoptive mother, but I wouldn't be able to get to her without dealing with Odin or Thor." He said, a hint of sass in his voice.

"Okay, okay..." I said as I giggled a little. He was so cute when he got sassy. "I'm also surprised that you haven't said that we should invite your adoptive family just to rub it in their faces that they can't stop you from doing what you want." I added. He grinned and laughed. I laughed with him.

"Maybe I will do just that...after all, I do what I want." He said with a grin and I smiled back.

"I should start dinner." I said after a while. He grinned and sat up.

"What are you making?" He asked, still grinning like a child. A small smile curled at the corners of my mouth.

"You'll see..." I said as I stood up and looked down at him. He rolled his eyes and laid back. I walked to kitchen and started to pull out ingredients for tacos, rice and beans. As I cooked I hummed a little and I could tell that Loki was watching from the door way.

About 45 minutes later, I was done. I set the food on the table, Loki had already set up plates and utensils.

"Mmm...smells good," he whispered coming up from behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I'm glad you think so." I answered. I felt him smile and released me, and pulling out a chair from under the table so I could sit down.

"Thank you," I said as I sat. He smiled and leaned over, kissing my cheek, and then sat himself down.

Forty minutes later we were done eating and he helped me clean the table.

"That was amazing, thank you." He said after we were done cleaning. He grabbed my waist, pulling me close, and planting a soft kiss on to my lips. I, without hesitation, kissed him back.

But this moment was interrupted by a bright beam of light on the terrace.

"Shit..." Loki muttered and he held me protectively as 2 people, one was Thor, stepped out of the light. There was another man. I looked at Loki as he glared at the two men. I peeked at them. Were these his adoptive parents? I looked back at Loki.

"What do you want?" Loki hissed, his grip on me tightened.

"Loki, I forbid you to marry the one of the prophecy." The other man said.

"You can't tell me what to do, I asked her and she said yes. I didn't force her to do this." Loki hissed.

The man next to Thor took a step closer to Loki. Loki glared at him. I closed my eyes and channelled my energy to my tattoos. The other man pointed a staff sort of thing at Loki and some sort of laser? was fired at him. Just before it hit, a blue force field went up and absorbed the blast, protecting us both.

"No. I will not go anywhere." I stated firmly. I had decided in my mind that I was not leaving. "I am a person, and this is my life and I can do what I want with it." I added. This was aggravating, when would these guys get the message that I was not going anywhere with them.

"Loki, a war is coming, we need her to fight with us." Thor said a bit desperately. I did not want to fight in a war.

"We will stay out of this, thanks." Loki said flatly. I nodded in agreement. Plus, my training wasn't complete.

"Brother..." Thor said but before he could continue, Loki cut him off.

"Her training is incomplete and she does not want to fight, so please leave." Loki said coldly. What he said was true, both parts of it. He was not lying to them just to keep me here.

I was glad when they left. I really did not like that they kept coming back. This war or whatever was not my problem. I really hoped that they didn't come back, but a part of me knew they would. I sighed as Loki picked me up and carried me to my bed. He laid me in it and then climbed in next to me. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Just sleep, love." He whispered. I cuddled close to him and soon drifted off to sleep.
