Ten years old
"Have a great day at school guys!" Calum hands the kids their lunches as they're walking out the door. They run out onto the bus and take their seats. Willow sits next to her best friend Angela.
"My daddy is getting me the new iPhone 8 cubed!" she says excitedly, because her dad is CEO of some oil company so they're very rich.
"What? That phone isn't even out yet!" Willow exclaims, causing her best friend to smirk.
"I know. My dad knows a guy that works for the creator of Apple himself and they're giving me the first one ever!" Her friend squeals in delight.
Willow wants one, she wants the new iPhone, all she has is the iPhone 6, what a dinosaur.
"Willow," Angela asks loudly once they've entered their classroom. "What does your daddy do?" she asks and Willow immediately thinks of her daddy Calum, not her Papa Michael.
"My daddy was in a famous band when he was younger." Willow glows proudly at the thought.
"Oh, yeah. Wasn't he kicked out?" she smirks causing Willow to frown angrily.
"Well yeah-"
"What about your mom?" she asks, and Willow knows that she already knows the answer. "Oh, wait you don't have one." There was a whole group crowded around the two girls, listening to their conversation. "because you have two dads, because your dads are gay." Willow steps back, tucking a piece of her long wavy hair behind her ear as her eyes water.
"So?" she squeaks, blinking rapidly but tears fell anyway.
"That's weird! You're different! Different's weird, you're weird!" everyone began chanting some sort of insult about Willow being weird until she pounced on Angela.

Calum and Michael were sleeping when they got a call, Calum being the one who woke up, answering it groggily.
"Hello?" he mumbles into the receiver.
"Yes, Mr. Hood, I would like to inform you that your daughter, Willow got in a fight today." a female voice told him and he blinks slowly, yawning quietly.
"Willow? Who? Daughter?" Calum mumbles, only half awake. Suddenly he jolts up, wide awake. "Willow got in a fight?" he says in a surprised tone, already exiting the bed and his boyfriend's arms to get ready to go.
"Yes, I expect you will be here soon."
"I'm on my way." Calum sighs and slips his phone in his back pocket of his jeans and sees Michael sitting up and shaking his fingers through his hair.
"Put some pants on." Calum says, throwing jeans at his back.
"What's going on?" Michael asks sleepily, pulling the pair of jeans on his legs.
"Willow got in a fight." Calum says throwing on a jumper and walking towards the door, "meet me in the car." he mumbles softly and walks out. Calum starts the car and waits for Michael who emerges minutes later. Calum drives twenty minutes to a school that has a great educational system and has a sister school with a great softball program that Willow will be going to since she's shown interest in the sport. (a/n: I know there isn't softball in England but I like softball :D and it's my story, shut up)
Once they get to the school everything is fine, neither of them seem upset. When they get to the office and see Willow sitting there, Michael completely loses it.
"Willow, I am very disappointed in you." Michael glares at his daughter and grabs her roughly by the arm when Calum is signing her out so he doesn't see.
"I'm sorry Papa." Willow sobs "She was saying having too dads is weird and that I'm weird because she thinks I'm adopted-" Michael just frowns and shakes his head, proceeding to take his daughter to the car and puts her in the backseat. Calum sits in the passenger seat and Michael speeds off onto the slick snowy highway.
"Michael slow down, you're going to crash us." Calum warns with a quickening heart.
"Shut up." Michael spits, obviously still fuming from today's earlier happenings.
"Michael stop the damn car and let me drive." Calum snaps causing his boyfriend to look in his direction, taking his eyes off the road completely.
"Calum I can drive perfectly fine I don't need your input." Michael snaps causing Calum to glare.
"Obviously not since you're going twenty over the speed limit and the road is like a sheet of ice!" Calum yells back and their argument is cut short by a squealing in the back seat.
"Papa!" Willow squeals and Michael looks up to a semi truck with a blaring horn. Calum grabs his daughter and puts his back to her as he places his daughter between him and the seat to protect her from impact.

The incessant beeping of the heart rate monitor awakes Michael later that evening. His eyelids saccade open, searching the dreadfully blinding white room. He is immediately greeted by a doctor.
"Michael Clifford." he smiles, "you're awake. Your daughter has been waiting to see you." he says, marking things down on clipboard.
"She's okay?" the pale boy asks with delight and the doctor nods, letting the little girl in.
"Yes, your passenger saved her from any damage beside a little bruise on her cheek." He says satisfied.
"What about the passenger?" Michael asks, not sure if he wants to know the answer.
"He's fine. But he was the worst I suppose. A couple broken ribs and some some scrapes and bruises but that's it." the doctor says and leaves after telling Michael he can go see him if he likes, but to be careful on his foot.
Michael makes his way to his boyfriend's room with Willow by his side, gripping onto the bottom of his gown as they went across the hall.
Calum was still asleep, but he didn't look bad. Michael sighed in relief as Willow cuddled up to her daddy's side until he woke.
