"I can remember it s-so vividly" Taehyung inhales a sharp breath. His head had the words but he couldn't say them. His hands were shaking as he looks down at the coffin in front of him.
It's already been a month and now you were dressed in black. With Jungkook next to you with a cast on his leg and his arm wrapped up. Yoongi is also next to you staring at his lover who has a hard time speaking about Chelsea's death.
What made it more awkward was the fact that Chelsea's family members were giving you glances.
"She was on the same flight as Jungkook and I...." Taehyung spoke.
"She looked nervous, scared even" He bit his lips as his eyes water. "She sat right next to me during the flight. She always kept glancing at me. But I just ignored it but—"
A tear runs down his cheek and Yoongi's heart tightens.
"But if I knew if she was saving my life then I would have at least looked at her and said thank you. But I didn't"
Taehyung couldn't take it. His leg was hurting from standing and his emotions were mixed.
"Once the engine next to me blew out she was the first person to get up and cover me. She didn't even blink when it happened. The flames consumed her and already burned her skin badly. I still remember her final words"
"I'm sorry. I won't be seeing you in heaven when I'm gone"
The girl that used to be his childhood friend. The girl that bought him kimchi every day at lunch.The girl he hated so much once her parents got divorced. The girl that bullied him for his sexuality and caused him misery.

If only he knew what really happened in her life.

Taehyung walks up the modern house ready to walk to school with Chelsea. He always left his house an hour early to walk with her. With his beanie on and thick glasses and his school uniform.
He knocks on the door and waits. He hears footsteps walk towards the door and her mother opens the door. Taehyung gulps once he sees her mother's green eyes. Her warm smile causes his cheeks to flush.
