Am I dead yet?
Has my time finally come?
I can't feel anything....yet I slowly open my eyes and I can see Dr.Mendez with his dark curly hair and his green eyes staring down at me.
"Wake up bunny boy. Your baby mama misses you." My eyes suddenly go wide when I'm reminded of where I am. I try to sit up but suddenly feel a sharp pain all over my body. It was like hitting my toe against a table but ten times worse. My head throbs and I regret even trying to get back up.
"The pain killers are strong but not that strong Jungkook." I groan and slowly lay back down. Once my head is well rested on the pillow again I look over at the man who's now seated.
"Where is she?"
Dear god.
My voice is hoarse and sounds like I've been screaming at the top of my lungs. I clear my throat but only end up coughing. Dr.Mendez simply laughs and shakes his head. "I sent her home minutes ago. Took some convincing but she eventually left. Bro, I'm telling you food is the way to a woman's heart."
I try my best not to laugh but end up snorting. "I mean, my princess gotta eat right?" We both let out a long sigh and I move my hand up to my head. I feel the bandages wrapped around it then I remember the day when we finally decided to do the surgery. I say we because my other half was with me during the whole process. Physically and mentally.
"I was really cheesy the other day huh?" I place my arm over my forehead and huff. I see Dr. Mendez's forehead creases when his brows furrow. He stands to his feet and with his hands into his pockets. "Telling someone you'll love them for eternity isn't a cheesy thing Jungkook."
"Did I really say that?" My cheeks turn pink and I have sheepish grin on my face. "Those weren't your exact words but the look in your eyes said it." I can tell he's telling the truth from the fond look in his eyes.
"Jungkook my job as your doctor is to make sure you're in good health. But that day when you woke up and she was by your side, you looked healthy as ever when you looked at her. It was as if she took all your pain away with her words and made you whole again. Like her exact being allows your existence to have meaning and reason."
His words causes the butterflies in my stomach to flutter and smile. The joy that fills me from hearing them is too much. It means that I'm doing just what I've been wanting since I was a child. I wanted to make this big mouth, clumsy princess of mine to be happy. I want to cherish every moment; every flaw and imperfection of this woman.
