Haven't realizing I've been standing on the driveway the whole time, I decide to finally walk up to my door with shock. I don't know what is going through me but I manage to make my legs walk up the stairs.
"Century" I lift my head up to look at Dean coming from the backyard. "Where's Cass?" He asks looking for her car.
"Uhm she didn't come to pick me up" I scratch the dead skin on my wrist and frown.
"What? She didn't show up?" I hadn't noticed he had been carrying a rake when he puts it down on the ground.
"No, I called her many times and she never answered" I shrug, if it's Cassandra there's a reason behind why she never showed up to pick me up. It's Cassandra. She would never ditch you.
"Well that's strange, did you call her work? How did you get home? Did a friend drop you off?" I wouldn't be so sure if I should call Niall my friend. We've never really confirmed anything, he barely talks to me. Barely even looks at me. No wait scratch that I feel him staring at me at times and when I turn to look at him, he doesn't break our gaze.
"Yeah I guess you can say so" I try to pull off a smile but I miserably fail at it. "So how's Jacob, he didn't sleep last night it concerned me" Dean walks up the stairs next to me and opens the door letting me go in first.
"Oh yeah I heard he stayed home, I didn't want check up on him because I thought I'd wake him up or something" He closes the door and I drop my bags by the door. Dean walks into the kitchen and I follow in behind him seating myself on the island.
"Well he practically fell asleep outside my room this morning, had to drag him back into his room" I take a bite of an Apple sitting in the bowl in front if me.
"Huh, I would have expected it from Christian, but Jacob" He shakes his head in disapproval. "Never have I ever seen him wake up that late"
"Are you guys talking behind my back too?" Christians voice fills the room followed by laughter. He walks around the island and sits in front of me, grabbing a bag of chips on his way. "I mean I understand, I'm the one who always wakes up late" He shrugs his shoulder and pops a chip in his mouth crunching on it loudly.
"Did Cassandra pick you up from school?" I ask him.
"No, Jason did. Cassandra's car broke down when she was on her way to pick up her phone that she had left at work" He explains slouching on his chair.
"Why didn't anyone tell me?" I look back and forth between Christian and Dean.
"Don't look at me, I didn't even know" Dean defends himself and the two of us look at Christian. He's still eating his chips and when he notices our glares his eyes widen.
"Oh right! Cass called, her car broke down" He says nodding his head. Groaning I roll my eyes at him. There's never a day where you are able to count on Christian to tell us something. Even something like this, where I was waiting half an hour in the cold not knowing at all that Cassandra's car had broken down and she had left her phone at work.
"Jesus Christian! You couldn't have told us that before, you idiot!" Dean says smacking the back of Chris' head jokingly.
"Sorry!" He whines as I try to stifle my laugh. Just in time to distract me my phone vibrates in my back pocket. Pulling it out, it's a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?" I answer and both Christian and Dean stop laughing. They give me a look that asks whose calling. I raise my finger at them to stop talking so that I'm able to listen to whoever is on the other end.
"Hey Century! It's Daniel" The receiver says.
"Oh hey! What's up? I got your text I just didn't answer" I say and he laughs on the other end.
