I stand up from my bed glancing at Cassandra before walking out of my room. As slow as possible I begin to walk down the hallway, immediately a billion questions pop up in my mind. First I have to confirm who it is exactly at the door. It could be anyone but right now I have one in mind.
Taking the stairs I hear the sound of multiple footsteps indicating that Cass and Chris are following me. When I look at the front door it's creaked open but I can't see anyone. Looking behind me I catch a glimpse of Cass. She smiles slightly at me when Dean walks out of the kitchen stopping me in tracks. He has a sandwich in his hand and his mouth is full.
"I heard someone at the door" He manages to say and I smile at him continue my small journey to the door. Shakily I place my hand on the doorknob and peak through. A tall frame stands at the bottom of the stairs. His back is to me and I immediately know it is not Niall. I would have recognized his hair.
"Nick?" He cocks his head around to face me and when his eyes land on mine he smiles from ear to ear. "W-What are you doing here?" I cross my arms at the breezy wind that blows at my face as Nick makes his way towards me.
"I came to see you" I knit my eyebrows. "Well not technically see you more like come to talk to you about something" He says nervously. "You have a really nice house" He admires looking up, he notices me shift uncomfortably before saying, "Geez you must get that a lot don't you?"
"Yeah" I breath looking at the ground.
"Century?" Cassandra walks up to my side and places her hand on my shoulder as she smiles up at Nick. They both are about the same height.
"Oh uhm Nick this is Cassandra, my Foster and step-m-mother" I stutter earning a light squeeze on my shoulder. "Cass this is Nick, he's on the dance team with me" I say.
"Nice to meet you" Nick greets and extends his arm out to shake Cassandra's hand.
"Very nice to meet you too" Cass smiles. When I look at Nick again, I notice the clothing he's wearing. He has a plain white t-shirt underneath a black leather jacket along with blue jeans. He doesn't look so bad I have to admit. He's pretty decent looking.
"You have a lovely home" Nick says winning Cassandra over.
"Why thank you Nick, oh but what are you doing out there, it's cold come in come in" She says and pushes me softly out of the way so she is able to open the door wider.
"Thank you" He says and steps in. He closes the door behind him and we all fall upon a grand of silence.
"Well uhm Nick, these are Dean and Christian" I point to the two of them and they wave to each other. "So uhm what was it that you wanted to talk about" He parts his lips with his teeth in show as he looks behind me with Cass, Chris and Dean watching us.
"Uhm..." He chuckles lightly and scratches the back of his head. I turn around and look at them giving them a look.
"Guys, some privacy please?" They break out of their trance when they hear me say so.
"Oh right" They mumble and quickly make their way into the kitchen or the living room. Once their out of sight I turn back around to face Nick.
"So uhm, you know about today with what coach had told us about auditions and all. Well uhm I was kind of thinking about it and I was wondering maybe you know, you could uhm" He looks down at the floor nervously then looks back into my eyes. "You know you could audition for it" He sniffs and shoves his hands in his pockets.
"I was going to do so" I smile and he continues with his awkward rocking back and forth on his feet.
"Well I was actually thinking about, you know helping you out- god that sounds so stupid coming out of my mouth" He chuckles and slaps his forehead.
"No no that's not stupid at all, that would actually be very helpful" I comfort him and I can see a small blush creep onto his cheeks as he looks at me.
"Really?" His eyes lighten up and I take a step back at the realization of how close he is.
"Yeah definitely, though I thought you were going to audition for yourself" I ask grabbing onto my arm.
"Oh pshh no, you are way better than me and besides someone needs to take Sydney down" He laughs.
"I don't want to take her down" I admit.
"Yeah but do you see the way she treats you, she's jealous and scared of you which is why it's the only reason why she picks on you. She's afraid your going to be the one to take away her center of attention" He explains and I roll my eyes at his statement.
"Jealous? Yeah right" I shake my head and with my finger I push my bottom lip in between my teeth.
"Oh come one, you don't believe me?" He says and I still shake my head no.
Sydney is never jealous. She's a pain but no I doubt she is jealous of me, there's a reason why she was chosen captain and not me. Like please.
"Look-" Before Nick can continue my phone vibrates in my pocket and I pull it out. I'm receiving a phone call from and unknown number. I don't recognize it but I know the area code. It's from Holland.
