I pick on the skin on my wrist as I await for Jesse to answer me. I lay in my bed with my legs hanging off the side and my phone on speaker sitting by my head. Jesse has been silent for a while that the silence scares me.

"I'm still unsure on what your getting at here?" She questions further which only makes me groan in desperation.

"Jesus Jesse! What's up with you? I need you to come over that's it" I repeat the tenth time during this phone call. If I have to repeat it one more time to her I'm hanging up and that would be it.

Suddenly she bursts out laughing making me jump and pull my phone slightly away from my ear. What the- "Oh Century why would I want to come overr" She slurs hardly making it noticeable.

"Jesse what's wrong?" I'm no longer mad or annoyed with her. She's drunk and she's never drank, she's upset about something I know it.

"You" She giggles. "Have no right to call me Jesse. Your not my friend" Her tone is so serious, but there's a hint of mischievous and alcohol in there that gives it away.

"What are you talking about? I am your friend I've always been your friend. We're best friends, you and me" I remind her but she laughs at it once again.

"Don't say shit like that, you bitch!" She shouts. "Don't act like you don't fucking know what I'm talking about, you and Danny are all over each other" So this is what this is about. She's jealous of something that I'm not even aware of. This whole time I've been sitting thinking of how to get them two together.

"What?" I question grabbing my phone immediately and turning off speaker. I sit up straight fixing my hair and pushing it away from my face.

"Can you stop acting stupid Century, do you not understand that I've always goddamn fucking envied you my whole entire life. Since we were little you've always gotten the attention, always had every guys eyes on you, but you were so stupid and oblivious to even notice" She's started sobbing that I can actually hear her eyes shutting and herself frowning.

"Jesse I've never noticed because I was always caught up hanging out with you, you were and are my best friend" I explain but I only hear her throat gulp and the sound of her nose sniffing. A loud impact runs through my ears before the line goes dead.

This has been an actually argument that Jesse and I have gotten into. We've had a few disagreements here and then but never before has she treated me like this. She never drinks, she's never had a drink. She was really upset. But she was so mean about it, like she was blaming it on me.

Shaking it off I grab all my hair in one hand and strand it in a braid. My phone begins ringing again but I don't have the nerve in answering it. I hide it under my pillow and when I no longer hear it, I lay against it and look at the mirror across my room. My face looks so different, filled with emotion and excitement. I've never looked like this before.

My phone rings again, but I don't check it. Whoever it is, can wait.

Closing my eyes I feel the need to sleep and just when I'm about to pass out, there's a knock on my door.

"Come in" I yawn and sit up straight rubbing my eyes. Jason and Cassandra enter causing worry work through me when they have to stand in front of my bed. "What's wrong?"They look very serious.

"Honey we just got a call from my sister in Glenmore, she recently got a fever and she'd like assistance. And I was just wondering if you'd like to come with us?" Cass says motioning between herself and Jason.

"To Glenmore? I would really like to work on my dance this weekend" I say with full honesty.

"Oh that's fine sweetie we are actually leaving at eight, and we are coming back Sunday night" That's sooner than I had expected.
