I adjust my bag on my shoulder as I wait patiently in front of my school. It's exactly 5:30 and Cassandra hasn't yet come to pick me up. I've called her quite a few times but she hasn't answered. Almost everyone has already been picked up and I'm alone standing on the sidewalk in the breezy cold wind. Attempting to call Cassandra again I'm brought to voicemail. I groan and hang up.

"Did your 'friends' decide to ditch you?" Sydney says and I'm so close to slapping her. She's just like Vanessa but at least I felt a little pity for her when Niall left her on the side of the road. "I'm not surprised" She shrugs and begins to walk away.

"I'm quite surprised your friends can stand you" I mutter under my breath and again, I adjust my bag grabbing my water bottle.

"Excuse me" She turns around glaring at me.

"Like you heard" I face my body to her. "I'm quite surprised your friends can stand you" I repeat much louder, but not as much rude as she would have said it.

"You little bitch what makes you think you can talk to me like that. I'm the captain of the dance team" She brags.

"But yet you aren't good enough for coach to choose you to choreograph for auditions, then she wouldn't be holding auditions for it" I say simply angering her even more. Okay so maybe I went a little over the top, and I shouldn't have said that but she has me raging with anger myself.

"Look, you aren't nothing but a fucking slut. That's why your real mother left you in the first place. She knew from the moment she saw you, you were useless" That did it. How could she? My eyes begin to water and I'm battling with myself to stop my hand from slapping her. She crossed the line and brought my mother into this.

I hear the sounds of wheels screeching against the concrete beside me. From the corner of my eye I see a black car pull up but I don't look away from Sydney. I can't let her win, and I won't let her see me cry. Suddenly a car door opens and shuts, feet stomping it's way around the car and hear then all the way to my side. Long cold fingers tightly grip onto my arm and pull me behind them. I'm shocked when I see Niall's muscular back.

"What part of fuck off did you not get!" He barks making Sydney take a few steps back.

"I-I uhm, I" Sydney stuttering is rare. I always see her so confident and never worrying about anything with no fear. And right now it's priceless.

"Fuck off!" He shouts again and I watch as she scurries her way out of sight without hesitation. Niall slowly turns around and looks at me in the eye. I can already see the pity but I know exactly that he won't give me it.

Staring at me I can see everything through his eyes. The wonders of life and the excitement of, everything. He has this spark beyond his blue iris. One that just ignites the fire through my body. His eyes dilate when he looks at what I'm wearing then they find their way back to mine. His Adam's apple bobs and he licks his lips glancing down at my chest. When I look down below myself I realize how revealing my tank top is. Even with the sweater I have on.

Clearing my throat I pull my shirt higher and cross my arms. He looks at me and flares his nostrils with anger. Now what did I do?

"Get in the car" He demands like he did with Daniel and stomps his way back around the car when he stops to look at me. "In the car" He says again.

"Someone is already on their way to come and pick me up" I inform him and dangerously slow, he walks back around the car to open the passenger door.

"She's not coming, now get in the fucking car" He growls lowly that it makes me involuntarily walk into his car. He shuts the door loudly and gets in himself. The car as always speeds it's way into the street, giving me no time to put my seatbelt on. I still manage to put it on.
