Samar's POV
"Kaha jaa raha hai?"
That was my brother asking me about my plan when he spotted me in living area.
"Apna wada nibhane." I said taking the car keys.
"Oh. Toh Mannat se Milne jaa raha hai?" He asked with all his concentration on the TV screen.
I nodded a yes. "Haa, wahi jaa raha hu."
I sat on the couch to tie my shoelaces.
"Kab tak aayega?"
"Ded-Do ghante mein, Sanam." I said in irritated tone.
Baccho ke tarah sawal pe sawal puche jaa raha hai.
"Irritate kyu horaha hai? Maine aisa kya puch liya? Teri kaunsi date mein third wheel ban gaya?"
OK. Enough!
"Baccho ki tarah questions puche jaa raha hai, Sanam! Mannat bhi itne questions nahi puchti. I know tu mera Chota Bhai hai but tu Chota nahi raha! Behave like one!"
He paused his video game when I started and was watching me with neutral expression. I raised my eyebrows at him, asking for a reply but he kept the same expressions.
"Ab kuch bolega bhi?" I said.
"Main itne der akele rahunga?" He asked slowly.
I closed my eyes inhaling deeply. Calm down, Samar. Calm. Relax. He's just trying to irritate you. Relax. I reminded myself.
Completing my task of tying the shoelace I got up.
"Bhai! Aate waqt mere liye kuch lete hue aana!" He called when I was shutting the door behind.
I shook my head again. "Kasam khayi hai aaj isne mujhe pareshan karne ki."
I got out from my building and made my way towards the parking lot where our car was parked. I settled inside, bringing the engine to life I started my journey while listening to a melody that Sanam and I composed some years back. We still had to write lyrics for this. We made some of our lyricist friend listen to it as well; they did come up with some songs but I didn't like the product together. And we don't work on something if any one of us feels it's not working. I keep listening to it once in a while just in case if I can come up with something.
I reached my destination while listening to the same tune quite more than what we can call a few time. I parked my car and when I got out, I saw the same scooty with which I crashed. The sudden wave of guilt hit me. Though I left the scooty in garage and asked Aunty's driver to drop the person in my car but still, not apologizing in person for my mistake was a heavy feeling for me. I should do that today. But for that I had to know about it's owner. Dada! Unhe of course pata hoga yeh kiska hai.
I went to his cabin, "Dada?" I called.
"Ek second, sir." He replied from inside and within next few seconds he was in front of me. "Array, Veer baba aap. Kaise hai? Abhi aaye?" He asked smilingly.
I nodded returning his gesture, "Ji Dada, abhi hi aaya. Woh mujhe kuch puchna tha."
"Ji puchiye."
