Her phone rang more than ten times but she didn't bother to look at it or make an attempt to pick it up.
Ding Dong!
The house bell ranger. Twice. Thrice. She grudgingly made her way down the stairs, wiped her face and opened the door to see a disheveled Ibrahim. Her heart immediately dropped.
"Ibro. What's wrong?""Wear your hijab and follow me." He ordered looking no where at her.
"Tell me, what's wrong?" She questioned again, this time louder than before.
"Ahmad..." He croaked out. His face showing visible pain. "Ahmad had accident along Gwarimpa road. Come on let's go."

Three hours. Three hours since Aysha arrived and Ahmad was still in the OR. The doctor announced he had a hit to the head as a result of hitting the steering. Which might cause slight concussion but apart from that there was nowhere else was hurt. They are just trying to stop the bleeding in his skull.
Immediately the accident happened. His phone was retrieved and his last call was called and fortunately it was Ibrahim. He was told and he immediately sent an ambulance from their hospital to pick him up. Even after countless pleas from Ibrahim to do the surgery on Ahmad. The other doctors refused, he was not focused and might let his emotions got the better of him.
The light in the OR turned green which means they were done Aysha immediately stood up, along with Ahmad's family and her mom. It was late but everyone was around. Everyone came including Dina and Noor.
"Tunde!" Ibrahim called out. "How was it?"
"It went fine. We will transfer him to the private ward now. Don't worry it's not serious. He will wake up in a few hours. He announced and then walked away.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief. He was fine Alhamdulillah.* * * * *
It was morning. Aysha went home to prepare some food for Ahmad but it has been more than four hours since she left.
Ahmad mother and his two sisters were sitting in the room keeping him company.
"Which kind of food is Aysha cooking for more than three hours?" His mother complained but couldn't allow his family found out. He was a hundred percent sure Aysha was at work. It's so typical of her. He knows his wife.
"I'm sure she will be here soon." He flipped off making it seem like nothing but deep down. He was sad. The least he could have done was arrive early just to assure his family that everything was fine between them even when it isn't.
