(Eight years later)
If Aysha was told eight years before that she will be getting married to Ahmad, she would have laughed in their faces and walk away.
Eight years passed like the blink of an eye, many things have happened, things they couldn't predict, the passing away of her dad, it was a very very traumatic experience for Aysha but she got through it with the help of her friends.
Musa is now and architect, Nasir is a soldier while Ahmad and Ibrahim are both doctors with a joint hospital.
Noor is a teacher, Dina an accountant, and Aysha a journalist.
Noor is now married to Musa, the two are blessed with a beautiful baby girl called Iman, while Dina is married to Nasir with a baby on the way and she, she is about to marry Ahmad, it was all so surreal, Ibrahim the ever player is still doing his player ways.
There is no single news that he is in a serious relationship with anyone.
Random thoughts keep flowing in Aysha's head, her mind drift to her work, she haven't been to work for one week because of the series of events that was arranged because of her wedding.
She miss it, she miss the way her fingers type endlessly on the laptop, editing a piece before summiting .
She miss the way she will be ask to read and read until it becomes perfect .
She miss....
Aysha mind was so far away that she didn't hear Noor speaking to her.
"Madam" Noor nudge her, "what are you thinking about?" She question.
"Just stuff and work" Aysha reply her, moving her concentration to them.
They are currently in a store, looking for a new pair of shoes for Aysha, the latter forgot she has no shoe until a day before the wedding, and despite all attempts to leave her at home, she refused.
"Work?" Dina query and roll her eyes, frustrated she raise her hand up and slap it on her forehead, " oh my Allah, Aysha how can you be thinking of work at this moment ?".
"Because it's my work, how can I forget about that ?." Aysha defend, Noor stare at the two and shake her head.
"Let's just go please, Aysha since you didn't want to concentrate we have already chosen a dress for you" Noor inform, moving to the counter to pay without waiting for Aysha response .
---------
"Wallahi I'm tired" Dina groan carefully lying down on the bed, being heavily pregnant, a slight movement may cause her pain ."Ai dole, you that is about to pop any minute now" Noor joke making Dina to glare at her.
The latter has been so scared of the thought of going into labour any moment from now, although she has been getting endless support and encouragement from her loved ones, Nasir has been so worried out of his mind that he call every second to ask about how she's faring.
Being a soldier, his work takes him to places on assignments, recently he is murno, a city in the north eastern part of Falgeria.
The place have been been on crisis because of insurgents.
The ringing of phones make the trio to snap their faces and look at the phone .
Aysha lean down and pick her phone up, the name zawji is written on the screen.
She press the answer button taking the phone to her ear .
"Hello" .
"Assalamu Alaikum habibty" Ahmad greets .
"Wa Alaikum Salaam, how are you doing ?" She question, from the side of her eye, she sees Dina picking up her phone and answering it while walking out.
"I'm fine habibty and you? "
"I'm fine ". She answer back.
"Habibty, I'm still waiting for your reply" he speak, the way Ahmad speaks sends shivers down Aysha spine, so slow as if all his energy is gone.
"My reply, for what ?" Aysha question .
"The honeymoon location, I want to take time away, like two weeks and just be free be alone, we can go to Dubai or Makkah just anywhere " He propose.
"Baby, I can't, I have work to do and you know I'm the chief editor".
"I know habibty, but still, it's our wedding, once in a lifetime Insha Allah, we should enjoy it, and come back to our work, just two weeks babe" He plead .
"Im sorry baby, but I can't, and i thought you understood me when I said it before, I don't want to go to any honeymoon but it's obvious you didn't ". Aysha said ,making her voice sound like she's sad .
"No no, it's fine, it's okay I understand, baby I have to go now, duty calls, I love you" He pamper waiting a little while to hear her reply, not receiving any, he cut off the call.
A sigh escape Aysha mouth, turning to look at her friends to see them all glaring at her .
