Aysha woke up feeling nauseous, she immediately ran to the bathroom and emptied her guts, she was heaving so hard and nothing was really coming out of her mouth except a thick saliva.
When she was done, she rinsed her mouth and brushed her teeth, took a shower and left the room to go downstairs.
Ahmad was still sleeping, so for once she decided to make breakfast.
Peeling some irish potatoes and cutting them eventually, she fried them and whisked four eggs together, she then fried it too and prepared it in a plate. She went back upstairs to wake up Ahmad.
"Baby, hey you, wake up." She shook breakfast. "I made you breakfast."He shifted a little, before slowly opening his eyes and blinking like the lights from the drapes were blinding him
He looked around before his eyes laid on his wife, he smiled and drew her close to him.
"Good morning wifey." And then he laid a kiss on her forehead and made his way to the bathroom.
She entered their walk in closet and made her way to her Abaya section, she picked a burgundy Abaya with gold embroidery and decided to pair it with a gold veil by veils by salmarh, a gold flats she ordered from Jumia and her multi coloured fendi Bag.
She combed her hair and packed it up in a bun, then wrapped her veil around her face, then sprayed her smart collection perfume and she was ready to go.
She walked out the same time Ahmad walked out from the bathroom.
"Ohhh my wifey looking beautiful." He complimented, walked to her held her hand and inspected her. "Twirl for me baby...ohh look at that." He was typing her and Aysha was smiling.
"Why thank you my handsome husband." She complimented too and he laughed then kisses her briefly.
"You ready to go?" He asked drying himself with the towel.
Aysha looked at him appreciatively, her husband was one fine man and seeing him in nothing arouses emotions that she couldn't indulge in at the moment or they would both be late to work.
When she didn't replied, Ahmad looked up and noticed her watching him with hawk eyes, he could see the desire swirling in her eyes.
With a corky smile. He whispered." Like what you see?"
Aysha snapped out of her trance and looked at him, knowing she had been caught, she shyly gasped down.
"I'm gonna go now, see you later."
"Wait aren't you going to eat first? "
"No, I have been feeling nauseous since I woke up so I don't really feel like eating."
"Nauseous? Are you okay?" He held her hand, his concern looking at he with concern.
"I'm fine, just slight dizziness."
"You..you don't think you're pregnant?" Aysha's eyes immediately jumped to his. He looked hopeful, he had always loved children so it's not a surprise.
"No I'm not, hopefully." She replied but her heart was beating wildly.
What if he was Right?
Oh I sure hope not!She thought. Picking up her bag that she discarded she hurriedly kissed him and bid him bye.
Aysha ran to the store room on her way out, it had a lot of gifts which they hadn't opened yet since their wedding, she could vividly remember Noor buying a pregnancy kit and gifted it to her in an attempt to look funny.
She immediately spotted it..Noor had written "To the new mom" on top nd Aysha never knew she could use it so early in her marriage.
When she reached her office, she ran to her personal bathroom and immediately peed on the stick.
Those five minutes before the results are out were the most longest minutes in her life, she was so scared, and kept praying that it wasn't true. Promotion was to be given the next week and she knew for sure, it wouldn't be hers if she was pregnant.
When the stopwatch stopped she looked at it and immediately sat on the chair.
What was she going to do?
She was pregnant.
