"Ugh.. gah..?" I covered my face as suddenly what looked like a bright light obscured everything...
"Where... where are we?" Grover stammered. "Everything is so bright.. blaahaa.."
Tyson blinked his one eye for a moment. "We.. are... at vacation?"
"Vacation?" muttered Mordred as she put a hand over her face to block out the sunlight. "What the hell ya talking about One Eye?"
"Wait a minute.." Annabeth muttered. "Is... this a beach?"
We had been walking around the maze.. following Annabeth's plan to find the older part or at least the center of the maze for the better part of what felt like about 3 hours..
It had not been a cheery journey. After walking for a long while, we settled down for a lunch of PB&J from Tyson's bag, and a bunch of granola bars (which was not enough for me), and when we settled down.. we had found ourselves surrounded by skeletons of people in Camp Half-Blood T-shirts... who looked like they died fighting some other skeletons wearing purple t-shirts that had faded logos.
So we had booked it till we found a door.. which led into a cave.. which led out... wherever this place was..
We were staring at what looked like the combination between a vacation spot and a giant home on the range style ranch.
While there appeared to be rolling fields filled with cattle and herding type animals, including goats, sheep.. and some of the reddest cows I had ever seen.. there was also a massive beach.. filled with beach volleyball pits, a large stage with a movie projector.. laughing people in swimsuits.. a huge set of tropical trees lining the edge of the beach...
There was even a large water park further into the ranch.. and from what I could see.. a ginormous five star hotel building with a logo on it that said "Triple G Vacation Spa and Resort"
"Ooookay." said Annabeth. "This is.. um.. new yet not new and.. Saber.. what the heck?"
"What?" I said.
"Did you... REEAALLY decide to bring THOSE types of clothes on a life threatening quest?"
I looked down at myself and nearly jumped 10 feet in shock
I was wearing a black and white one piece swimsuit which was open around my back shoulders, with gold highlights. My hair was back in it's braid bun style, I had fancy gold ribbons tied to my legs and ankles in a sort of alluring cute way, and I wore a large green cloak with white fur edges, not unlike the blue cloak I wore as a symbol of being king.. there was also a gold and green crown sitting on my head.. to couple that off, I was wearing some high heel shoes not too much unlike my Saber Lily shoes..
I had turned into a Royal Beach-Goer.
"Er.. I stammered, making sure I still had Caliburn...
My weapons had changed.. Excalibur seemed to be back in my hand.. glowing with holy power as usual.. as if it had never broken.. and in my other hand, I held what looked like a large water pistol.
