It didn't take long to reach out point of destination. We found ourselves standing in front of what looked like a massive humming metal futuristic door with a lit up "D" symbol on it..
"Most ancient part of the maze huh?" muttered Mordred
"Well.. er.." Annabeth began. "If Atalanta were here with me and not at camp she'd say.. er.. "
"That she told you so?" said Mordred.
"Oh shut up.."
"Shhh!" I said. "Give me a bit of quiet.."
Annabeth stared at me. "For what!?"
I walked forward and felt my hand over the door. "Hmmmm.. let's see.. "
I knew I felt it from the moment I saw the door. The door was made of the same substance that Noble Phantasms of a divine attribute were made of.. I took Caliburn and stabbed it's point into the center of the D symbol.
Immediately there was a larger humming noise, and the door slid open.
Mrs. O'Leary padded in cheerily, her tail wagging as if she knew the place while we followed her in.
It was pretty much like the modern lab of the century. Computers with the Delta symbol on them were sitting on desks, humming, their files open on multiple blueprints and files on different inventions.. touch screen displays were hanging on the walls, showing architectural masterpieces.. and there were a ton of work benches sitting around.
There was even what looked like a celestial bronze 3D printer standing in a corner nearby.
"Wow.." said Rachel, staring at a tool rack where several improved versions of Daedalus's wings sat. "Cool.."
Annabeth breathlessly sat at one of the desks, filing through the laptop. "This is incredible.. some of these inventions could change the world.. if they got out.."
"If they got out.. of course you would credit me too.. wouldn't you?" said a cheery voice.
We whirled around to see a girl standing there.. a young girl who must've looked around 10 or 12
She was a very pretty and serene looking girl with black hair. yet something about her eyes made it seem like her gaze was always following you.. a lot like the Mona Lisa. She wore a fancy red and black dress that was scholarly, yet beautiful at the same time.. and she wore a strange mechanical gauntlet in which she held a large scepter-like wand.. with a blue crystal floating in what looked like a ring designed like a planetary model. A blue cape also fluttered from her back.
"Hello!" said the girl, giving us all a wink. "Allow me to introduce myself wonderful visitors.. beautiful travelers, to the world's. .. well.. ONE of the world's.. greatest geniuses of all time.. Your spectacular.. your wonderful.. DA VINCI-CHAN!!!"
