scenario; jungkook takes mermaid Jimin on a human field trip

my first mermaid one-shot ish and comedy attempt, don't judge me too bad.

"Jimin... what is it like?"
"What's what like, Jungkook?" The sapphire-haired merman asked, staring up at the boy with vibrant-matching eyes. Jungkook pointed curtly at Jimin's scaly tail, the merman only smiled. His smile buoyant enough to make someone go blind, but Jungkook was constantly swooning from it.
"How could I explain something to you that you know nothing about?"
"I don't know. I can't exactly swim down there, can I?" Jungkook replied, sarcastically. Jimin only peered at him, innocently. That's one thing Jungkook couldn't seem to get past, Jimin was so gullible that it bugged him.
But of course, for a fish—he didn't expect much. A dumb fish with a handsome face, that Jungkook couldn't stop from dreaming about. It's only been a few months since Jungkook had been seeing Jimin. It drove him insane how different Jimin treats him than humans themselves. It almost made him wish he were apart of his remote world.
Unlike his own family, Jungkook could actually share his feelings and expose his own secrets to Jimin. He would never tell anyone, nor judge.
"Jungkook-ah, could you take me with you into town? I want to meet the others like you."
"No."
Jimin looked dumbstruck at Jungkook's outburst. He pouted, grabbing the boy's leg before he got up from the dock.
"Why not?"
"Because the others aren't like me, it's too dangerous."
Jimin sniffed, tears clouding his vision as he whined to Jungkook, "Please—"
"No, Jimin. Absolutely not. Now go back home before you get in trouble."
Jungkook watched Jimin's face fall, his eyes faltering to meet his. He rose from the dock and began to walk away, when he heard water splashing and then utter silence. He turned his head so quick that you could hear the sight sound of a strain in his neck. No merman insight.
Maybe I was too harsh, Jungkook thought.
He got into his car, turning on the engine and taking off. Not even a few blocks away, he yelped when he saw Jimin's smiling face in the rear mirror.
