Only minutes before the alarm on their nightstand went off, Jungkook laid awake on his bed with his snoring husband in his arms. He traced the delicate skin on the male's chubby cheeks, while the other hand tugged the sleeping boy closer, savoring the moment and sensation before he had to dress for work. Jimin would soon have to watch over their two sons.
Jungkook could already see the luminous sunlight revealing into the room, the resonance of life and passing cars outside their windows. Jungkook knew he would have to face it all soon, leave the pleasant embrace of his spouse he rarely interacts with, due to the overwhelming hours at work. Jungkook had been promoted, his hours got extended and when he arrived home he was usually too exhausted to do anything. Both parents took turns, staying at home because babysitters wouldn't work. And Jimin wasn't having it. Dealing with it on their own was what they have decided on, but it was only bringing them farther apart.
After awhile of caressing Jimin, pressing a kiss to his head, Jungkook got out of bed and got ready and dressed in his uniform. He worked in the law enforcement industry, so besides from working from home—he took the extra shifts for the better salary.
He was about to set off to go check on his boys when he felt a pair of small hands pull him into bed. He crashed onto his back and a heavy weight settled onto his thighs. Jimin carried prominent, distinct, puffy eye-bags underneath his eyes, but a playful expression.
"Leaving so soon?"
"I didn't want to wake you."
"You should've." Jimin muttered, leaning down and snuggling into Jungkook's chest. Jungkook ran his hand down the older's back, tracing back up, to where Jimin visibly shuddered.
"Don't go."
Jimin pressed kisses on the skin that peaked out from below his collar. Jungkook let Jimin's heavy lips wonder but then gripped Jimin's waist and pushed him back slightly.
