I’ve always known, you know.”

I tried to process his words, “What do you mean?”

“I’ve always known that Byun Baekhyun was your secret boyfriend,” Daehyun calmly answered.

                “H-how?”

“When you fell asleep, you left your phone unlocked so I decided to spam your photo feed with my selcas,” Daehyun took a deep breath, “It was wrong of me, but I got curious and looked through your other photos.  That’s when I saw the hundreds of photos of you and him, along with a few pictures of two children.”

I opened my mouth but Daehyun cut me off, “I guess it makes sense why you’re always so sad but now it pisses me off that fame got the best of him and he has the nerve to go behind your back like this.”

“I understand why you kept this secret, but yet again, there are already so many girls that call him their boyfriend,” through the tears I managed to laugh. “And I understand why you must have thought I might think of you like some sort of obsessed fan girl.”

“You just hit checkmate, “I croaked, hating the sound of my voice.

“Do you want to go to your classes today, Dara?” He looked at me. “No offense, but you look like shit and don’t appear to want to do anything today.”

I laughed, “Thank, Daehyun but I can’t afford to miss any classes.”

“Just this one day, Dara.  I’ll call one of the others to record to lecture as you call in sick.”

“It’s just heartbreak, Daehyun…” I tried to say, but it only made me cry harder.

“Do you honestly believe that you’ll learn anything today listening to the instructor’s boring ass lecture while crying your eyes out, forcing yourself to forget that this happened only to have it come back to you when you get home?” Daehyun’s voice was filled with authority.

“I do believe so, because I’m used to it,” I replied quietly, remembering my past as Hanako.

“Dara, as your friend, I think I deserve some answers to some obvious questions,” Daehyun told me in a hard tone. “Seeing you miserable everyday is hard enough, and seeing you force yourself to be happy for others’ sake is harder.”

                “It honestly isn’t worth it—“

“For fuck’s sake Dara!” I flinched at Daehyun’s tone. “I understand that you’re heartbroken and that you’re going through a lot but pushing me away isn’t going to make you any better or stronger.”

I sighed, wiping my tears.  What is happening to me?  I’m no different than Hanako.  This thought caused me to dryly laugh aloud.

I’ve always been Hanako, no matter what I do to myself.  Deep inside, I’m a girl who is easy to hurt because of all the people that hurt me, but this time what I’m feeling is nothing compared to bullying.  It hurts a hundred times worse and I hate it.

“I-I’m sorry, Daehyun,” I apologized quietly, taking in a shaky breath. “I never meant to take you for granted.”
