I feel like complete and utter shit.

But I didn’t let this get the best of me.

I faced Daehyun, whose eyes were filled with sympathy and worry.  Luhan and Yifan had to leave for a little bit to settle their current activities until they could continue helping me, but I didn’t mind whatsoever.  Daehyun’s hand cupped my face and his thumb ran over the tear tracks on my face.

“I-I’m sorry for putting you in an uncomfortable situation,” I murmured to him, taking in a shaky breath.

He continued to massage my cheek, “Stop apologizing, D.  It’s fine.”

An amused smile formed on my face, “D?”

He smiled as well, “I knew that nickname would bring a smile to your face.” Daehyun removed his hand from my face and pulled me into a tight hug.  I buried my face into his hard chest and breathed in his unique smell. “Whenever you’re ready, I’ll drive you to your old house.”

“You really are a great friend, Dae,” I murmured against his chest, clenching the fabric of his shirt.  He stiffened slightly, but relaxed soon afterwards.  Daehyun pulled away from me and bent down slightly so were face to face mere inches away.

“I’m not just a great friend, I’m an amazing friend.  One of a kind even,” Daehyun winked and I laughed. “Wash up a little princess.”

I shook my head, a smile still etched on my face.  It didn’t take me long to wash my face and change into more appropriate clothes. Daehyun led me out of my apartment and took my car keys from my hand.  I questioned why my heart skipped a beat at his touch but the thought was pushed away when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

I bit my lip, ignoring it until we get into my car.  I slid into the passenger side while Daehyun got into the driver’s seat, both of us buckling up at the same time.  The moment he started it up and began to go into reverse, I quietly pulled my phone out of my jacket pocket and went to my messages.

Baekhyun really doesn’t need someone as worthless as you in his life.  It’s amazing what he saw in weak, pathetic person like yourself; crying because you can’t handle the isolation without him by yourself.  Take my advice and just forget about him.  He was never yours to begin with.

The number was blocked and emotions stirred within me.  I clenched my jaw and strengthened my grip on my phone.  I have a good feeling that this is the girl I saw in the magazine and it literally pissed me off like no other.

Baekhyun hurt me like no other, but I still love him.  I want him out of my life and my children’s life, but I still love him.  It hurts even thinking that I love him, but do.

No tears formed in my eyes as I typed my reply. I wonder why you put in so much effort to know about my personal, Eunji, but then again I don’t give a single fuck.

I typed the message all in English and hit send, locking my phone and putting it into my jacket pocket once again.  Something soft and lightly calloused brushed up against my hand, wrapping around I and squeezing it gently.  I looked up at Daehyun who had his attention focused on driving.

“Who text you?” He asked a little quietly.

“No one special,” I replied with venom dripping off my tongue.  My phone vibrated once again and I pulled it out with my free hand, unlocking it with practiced agility.
