My eyes fluttered open and I was blinded instantly with the sun blaring down at my face. I squeezed them shut and brought my hands up to cover my face from the atrocity until I fully awoke. I lifted myself up; surprised to see myself back in my room at home.
“About time you’re awake, sleepy head.”
I turn my head, meeting familiar brown eyes that haven’t failed to make me endlessly happy these past few years. He walked straight up to me, bending down and planting his lips against mine softly before pulling away, sitting next to me on our bed. Daehyun placed his hand on mine, our eye contact not breaking once.
“Did I keep you waiting?” I asked him quietly.
Daehyun chuckled and shook his head, “I’m just surprised you slept in longer than usual. Are you feeling sick or anything?”
“No,” I told him with no hesitation, “I don’t believe so. I mean, I’ve been sleep deprived lately because of all the school work I’ve had to catch up on, but other than that…no.”
Daehyun shook his head once again and lifted his hand that was on mine to the top of my head and patted it. I shot him a smile and he leaned in, kissing my cheek. “Get washed and get changed okay? I decided to take you and the kids out since we both don’t have classes today and we both have a day off from work.”
I nodded, watching him get up off the bed and leave the room, most likely to get Luna and Haru ready for the day. While swinging my legs off the bed, my feet made contact with the cold hardwood floor and I stood up from my bed, making my way to the bathroom to quickly get washed up for the day.
As the hot water pounded against my bare skin, I could feel my head get incredibly light and I stumbled over, catching myself quickly. I took deep breaths and remained calm, but stood bent over in a daze. Am I sick? What the hell is wrong with me?
I quickly finished up my shower and stepped out, wrapping a towel around my body and around my hair. After I left towards my closet and retrieving clothes, patting myself dry and changing, I dried my hair and did soft curls to them with my wand, and soon after my makeup then finalizing everything with brushing my teeth. With no more time to waste, I grabbed my coat and left the bedroom, walking down the hall to see Daehyun standing by the front door with the twins already in his arms.
“Took you long enough, princess,” Daehyun winked at me as I approached him, taking Luna from his hold and holding her tightly against me. She wrapped her arms strongly around my neck and hugged me tightly. I kissed her forehead and shot Daehyun a smile.
“You take longer to get ready than I do,” I told him with my eyebrow cocked up. “Ready to go?”
“I will once you—“
Open your eyes.
My eyes shot open, and I met a dim lit room and pain shooting across the back of my head repeatedly. I fought the urge to groan as tears sprung to my eyes, but I took in my surroundings with what little light I had. It seemed to be a simple empty room with only a few chairs standing here and there, and with me lying upon a incredibly uncomfortable bed. I slowly stood up and froze instantly when it began to creak.
Where the hell am I?
I lowered myself back to the bed slowly and closed my eyes half-way, slowing down my breathing so it appeared I was still asleep. Why am I here anyways? Where is Daehyun? Where are my children?
