I woke up before Patrick, obviously, and checked the time. It was eleven o'clock, but I was so tired I laid my head down again and closed my eyes, embracing the warmth from Patrick.
When I woke up again Patrick was moving, probably waking up, so I did too. I stretched before I felt Patrick's arms snake around my waste again. I smiled and turned to face him. His multi-colored eyes sparkled in the light that streamed through the curtain as he looked back at me. He pulled me in tighter and buried his face in my kneck. I giggled.
"I'm hungry." He complained. "Well I don't have any fresh food in my house, but I have tea. I'll go make some then we can go out for breakfast." I suggested. He nodded but didn't let go of me. "Patrick I need to be let go in order to go make tea." I said. "No, I want cuddles!" He cried. I laughed. "Maybe after we eat, but let me go or else you won't get cuddles at all this week." I said sternly. He instantly let go. I laughed before getting up and getting a change of clothes and walking to the bathroom to change. I changed into some maroon leggings and a black knit sweater and some ankle boots before walking back out. Patrick was still in bed but on his phone. "Get dressed and come downstairs, I'm gonna start the tea." I said before walking out and down the stairs. I filled the kettle with water and set it to boil as I got the green tea out for Patrick and the chai tea out for me. The kettle went off as Patrick came into the room, dressed and ready. I pulled two mugs out and put the water in each and dipped the tea bags in to steep. Patrick asked if I had any sugar and I pulled some out for him. He thanked me and pecked my cheek, which took me by surprise. I sipped my tea to hide the blush that had spread but it was obvious that he had caught the blush. He smiled into his mug.
We hopped into my car and I drove to a small family diner I worked at for a short time. I pulled in and got out and got a text from my mom at the same time.
You can take Allie home
The text read. I stopped dead in my tracks and pulled Patrick back by the wrist. He stumbled before turning to me. I showed him my phone and his eyes widened before he pulled me into a hug.

We finished our breakfast fast and hustled over to my moms house, I practically went ten over the limit. I jumped out of the car when we got there and Patrick could feel my excited demenor. He held my hand so I would calm down and not sprint to the door. I took some breaths and calmly walked towards the door, hand in hand with Patrick. I rang the door bell and heard fast footsteps. I chuckled before the door was open by mom and Allie came running around the corner.
"Mommy!" Allie screamed. I laughed and picked her up. My mom and Patrick laughed. I set her on my hip and my mom gave me instructions.
"Her carseat is in the garage, along with her bags. I'm also coming tomorrow for food prep, make sure you have or get everything on the list, you're in charge of sweets." She smiled. I nodded along and so did Patrick before we walked to the garage. I set Allie down and got the carseat into the car while Patrick put her bags into the back. I led Allie to the car and got her buckled in before grabbing the list and saying goodbye to my mom. I got into the car and so did Patrick. I looked at the list and all that I needed. "You wanna go shopping?" I asked loud enough for Allie to hear. "Yeah!" She cheered. I looked at Patrick, he just shrugged. "Shopping it is!" I exclaimed before pulling out of the driveway and heading to the grocery store.

After we were done shopping we headed home and unloaded the groceries into my kitchen before I grabbed Allie's cases and walked her upstairs with Patrick trailing behind. I opened the door to her room and walked her in. I heard Patrick gasp behind me and I smiled to myself. I unpacked Allie's cases and put her clothes into the white wardrobe before putting her cases into her closet. I then set her down for a nap and led Patrick out of the room and quietly cracked the door. I walked down the hall, leaving Patrick before going downstairs to get started on some sweets that had to be left alone for a full night. I heard Patrick come down the stairs and into the kitchen, but kept doing what I was doing.
"Did you paint her room? And design it?" He asked. I nodded. "I painted it as soon as I new I was going to have her. And designed the room, too. I had bought a crib but since she was taken away I let it sit over my tour and sold it for a bed as soon as I came back." I explained. "Now she gets to be in it." I smiled. He smiled too before wrapping his arms around my waste and setting his chin on my shoulder.
"What are you doing ma chérie?" He asked. "Making dough for somethings I plan to make tomorrow, the dough needs to rise so I'm preparing it." I explained.
"I can't wait to try all your sweets." He smiled. "I'm glad, because then you get a small taste of my culture, and what my family likes." I snickered, knowing full well there'd be a dish he wouldn't like.
"I'm scared now." He said. "You should be." I said before adding more sugar.
