I woke up early to one: get started on the sweets and some other foods, and two: make sure I beat Allie because she wakes up promptly at nine and my sleeping schedule has mirrored Patrick's, and three: my mom is coming at eight.
I got up at seven like I used to and got dressed into a brown sweater and some leggings before going down stairs and pulling out the dough for the cookies and pastries that I had made last night and got everything ready.
I had started on the ribbon jello when my mom knocked on the door, I told her not to ring the buzzer because it would wake Allie and Patrick. I opened it and helped her with what she brought. Once we got started I put on a record and some polkas played while we walked around and worked.

Allie woke up not much later and I put pause on my work to make her breakfast. After she was done she wanted to help me so I let her roll out the dough for some kuchen, or cinnamon cake. She was having some trouble so I helped her roll it out and put it into some pans. I was starting to make the filling when Patrick waddled into the kitchen and made himself a cup of tea and sat down at the counter, watching me try to keep Allie's fingers out of the mixture with a smile. He finished and took Allie into the living room to watch some morning cartoons. I silently thanked him before getting back to my work. I poured the mixture and took the pans out into my outdoor fridge to stay until tomorrow. I came back into the kitchen where Patrick was having a bowl of cereal. I cleaned the bowls I used and started on the next recipe. I was starting on the treat that I knew Patrick wouldn't like when he piped up.
"What are you making?" he asked cutely. "Pfeffernüsse, it's a German treat." I smiled and turned around to my mom who gave me a smirk. "What does it mean?" He asked. "Sweet cookie, I think you'll like them." I smiled at him.

My mom and I took a break at noon to eat lunch. I made myself some ramen noodles because I was lazy and ate next to Allie who was watching Steven Universe. I finished my food and went back to work with my mother. Patrick actually helped me with some brownies that were for my brothers, and he ended up eating some batter after my many attempts to stop him from eating the batter.

Around seven I put Allie to bed and my mom went home. I went to the freezer and grabbed a bucket of ice cream before turning on the TV to some Bob Ross and cuddling with a blanket. Patrick came downstairs with his pajamas on and joined me, laughing at what I had picked to watch.
"Don't judge me, I want to watch him! He was a big inspiration to me when I was younger, I watched him day and night." I stated. "Okay, okay!" He exclaimed before sitting down next to me and cuddling into my side.
At different periods he would sneak some ice cream for himself but I didn't mind, he watched Allie all day for me so he kinda deserved it.

I woke up the next morning at seven like yesterday and changed into a red lace up top, black jeans, and some laced boots. I went into my bathroom and actually took the time to put on some simple makeup and do my hair. I finished not long after and went downstairs to find my treats ready to be put on platters. I finished plating the brownies when there was a knock on the door. I went to open it and there stood my mom and dad. I let my mom slip by to get her things ready and hugged my dad. I let them in and shut the door.
"Hey dad, can you help me with the table?" I asked like every year. We walked to the dining room's closet and pulled out the extensions for the table. There's going to be fifteen people so thats that.
We finished doing that chore and I continued to plate everything, as did my mom. My dad sat and watched as we did our thing. Soon Allie came running down the stairs.
"Grandma, Grandpa!" She squealed. My dad laughed and picked up Allie. "Hey sugarbee, how are you?" My dad said. Allie giggled. My mom came over and kissed her forehead before continuing her work. "Can you get her some breakfast?" I asked my dad. "Sure thing." He said before leading her to where the cereal was.
"Where's Patrick?" My mom asked as she turned over some jello. "Still sleeping, I should wake him up." I mumbled. "If he wants to leave a good impression on your aunts, then yes." She stated. I set my things down and ran upstairs.
"Hey, Patrick, hun." I whispered while nudging him slightly. He groaned in response. "I need you to get up, the rest of my family is coming in an hour and I need you up and at 'em." I explained softly. "Okay, whatever makes you happy ma chérie." He said sleepily before sitting up and rubbing his eyes. I smiled before taking a deep breath and walking back downstairs.
