He couldn't take it anymore. A few months have passed and Chanyeol has completely lost focus of everything revolving around his life.Everything except Baekhyun.
If fact, Baekhyun was the reason why Chanyeol had been so out of whack these past months.
Everyday it got increasingly worse for Chanyeol. There was always something Baekhyun did that would end up almost throwing Chanyeol off the edge.
He's had to bite his tongue a lot and recently, he's finding it extremely difficult to do.
Just a day ago, Baekhyun had invited Chanyeol to hang out on his birthday.
How could Chanyeol say no to that?
Although he had a bad feeling about being with Baekhyun on the latter's eighteenth birthday, his heart wouldn't allow him to turn down Baekhyun's offer.
It was the very end of April and the snow had began to melt. The sun was out more offten and Chanyeol didn't need to wear a thick coat anymore.
There were still a few chilly, windy days, but nothing a light jacket couldn't help with.
It was also nearing the deadline for the project Chanyeol has been working on.
And he hasn't done much at all recently.
Why?
Because Baekhyun has invaded his work space.
Chanyeol has noticed the changes in Baekhyun while at work.
An example would be how interested Baekhyun had gotten. He's voiced up so many suggested, Chanyeol couldn't help but feel proud at how well he's opening Baekhyun up.
Another thing that has been noticed by Chanyeol, is the change in atmosphere whenever Sumi is around.
Naeni isn't in the office very offten, but whenever she is, she always makes plans to accompany Chanyeol and Baekhyun.
And Baekhyun is completely fine whenever she's around, if fact, Chanyeol has started to believe that Baekhyun and Naeni have formed an even stronger bond than himself with Naeni.
Chanyeol would always fawn over how perfect the picture is. Baekhyun and Naeni; two people Chanyeol has strong emotions for.
Seeing Baekhyun spend time with Naeni gave Chanyeol this immense feeling and he was sure that his heart wouldn't be able to handle much more.
But, as soon as Sumi entered to retrieve Naeni, Baekhyun always fell silent and became distant.
Chanyeol swore he's seen Baekhyun glare at her from the opposite side of the room.
But, Chanyeol's brushed it off each time.
The more time they spent together, the more Chanyeol felt confused.
Like, there are things he wanted to say, but he's so unsure of how Baekhyun will interpret it, that he ends up staying silent.
He doesn't know how to talk like a friend anymore. And it scares him.
He doesn't want to make the gap between them bigger, but with his lack of conversation, it's bound to happen.
He has to reword so many sentences in his mind before he says anything, doing his best to make sure it sounds as friendly as possible.
And it's gotten to the point where he's tired of it.
And it's starting to physically hurt him.
Chanyeol having to hold back his true emotions is getting to be too much. At first, it wasn't a big deal, it wasn't a problem. In the beginning, he was able to spend so much time deciding if he really felt this way instead of stressing about what to say.
