Hurt

*Warning*

Everything had become dull and grey. Maybe it was an exaggeration and he took it too personally. Maybe his perception on the whole situation was off.

But one thing he was sure of, is that this was probably the most painful thing he'd ever experienced. Both physically and mentally.

For some reason, he had a habit of going against himself. He had even reevaluated on whether confessing was the best option.

Yet he did it anyways.

If you're questioning, the answer is yes, he does blame himself.

He blames himself entirely.

He let his feelings get the best of him and it ended up ruining the only good thing he had going for him in this moment in life.

It broke a friendship he's never had before.

And for Chanyeol's first ever rejection (and he's not saying this as someone who has always gotten what he wanted - in fact he's saying this as someone who has never confessed thus making this his first rejection) he's handling it exactly how you'd expect.

Very, very poorly.

Life had gone slow, as if he was trudging through molasses. And not only was that bad because it's icky and super thick, making it really resistant, but it was also extremely sweet. And Chanyeol, doesn't do sweets.

And even though the days had seemed to decline in pace, weeks had gone by feeling as if time had stopped advancing. Although Chanyeol had noticed the lack of time quality, he also feels as if time has stopped.

Strange, right?

He found out that Baekhyun graduates in the next week. It'll be the very beginning of June by then.

He can't believe how time flies.

Sehun had noticed Chanyeol's lack of presence in the apartment they share. He's beginning to wonder just how many sick days Chanyeol has had in the past two weeks.

Sehun was worried nonetheless. His roommate had vanished out of his life, yet the latter lives with him.

The last time Sehun really saw Chanyeol was when the taller was sneaking around the house in attempt to find a bottle of water.

He caught him stumbling around in the middle of the night.

"I'm not sure what caused it," Sehun whispered to his boyfriend, his fingers tangled in the smaller's hair.

"I'm sure that whatever it is, he'll be fine. Chanyeol seems like a person who's generally happy, he'll come back around." Luhan whispered back as he watched Chanyeol fumble with the door knob.

"I mean, he's finally getting out of the house." Luhan added as he awkwardly removed himself from Sehun's lap and helped Chanyeol twist the doorknob.

"There," Luhan gestured with a small smile on his face.

The dark bags under his eyes were a sign that he hadn't had sleep in who knows how long. He smiled weakly back and walked out of the building.

"Is he taking his car?" Luhan asked, turning back to his boyfriend.

Sehun shrugged, "I don't know."

Chanyeol had managed to finally pull himself together enough to get back to work.

Well, it was actually the threatening message his boss had left him that got him motivated enough to trudge back to work.

Maybe taking his own car would've been easier. It was Monday morning and surely Baekhyun was supposed to appear in front of him that fine morning.
