Baekhyun will admit, the 'date' was awkward.

After Chanyeol had confessed such a thing, Baekhyun felt his whole world shift.

Nobody had ever seemed so smitten with Baekhyun. In fact, Baekhyun had never been so smitten with someone himself.

But Baekhyun won't lie.

Ever since Chanyeol said those words, all Baekhyun could do is think about him.

He thought about how his heart pounded when Chanyeol stared into his eyes, about how his skin felt on fire as Chanyeol layed his eyes upon him and how his heart stopped beating and his brain stopped thinking when Chanyeol said those words.

It seemed as if everything he had been through or will encounter disappeared.

Almost as if he had started anew.

Like a new door has just opened up.

But, Baekhyun is scared. He's scared for many reasons.

As Chanyeol layed in bed that night all he could do was cringe.

The events that happened just hours ago made his face scrunched up in dissatisfaction.

Everything had been going well up till he spoke his mind by accident. After that moment, both him and Baekhyun barely spoke a word.

Chanyeol will admit that he was the one who ruined today and nobody else was to blame.

It got even more awkward when the two left the cafe. Because both had to ride the bus.

Chanyeol didn't have a car and Baekhyun only rode the bus. At least, from what Chanyeol knew. He's only ever seen Baekhyun ride the bus.

So when the two had gotten on the bus, they awkwardly let each other on, then awkwardly ended up standing next to each other.

Not saying anything.

Only blushing profusely.

The two stood close together, being that the bus was packed, since it was still the middle of the day and every now and then bumped into each other, causing a chain of apologies.

Chanyeol remembered how his heart felt on fire everytime he physically encountered Baekhyun.

As Chanyeol layed there, eyes gazed up at the ceiling, he realized he felt something towards Baekhyun. Something strong.

Chanyeol didn't know what it was and he wasn't sure how he could obtain such feelings for someone he barely knows, but for now, he's stressed.

He just got to know a bit about the blonde today and yet he feels as if he's known him for ages. He feels like the two of them have been together in each other's lives forever.

And yet, everytime he sees Baekhyun, it seems as if he's seeing him for the first time. Like they're complete stranger.

Which technically they are.

But these mixed emotions aren't helping Chanyeol at all.

Maybe Chanyeol should talk to someone? Like a therapist. He doesn't know. Who deals with these types of situations?

Chanyeol let out a sigh as he ran his hands down his face.

He doesn't know what's gotten into him, but he knows he's gonna have to figure it out.

But one things for sure.

He doesn't want to lose Baekhyun.

The next morning was dreadful. Chanyeol didn't get much sleep, not with his mind buzzing. So when he had to get ready that morning, he did it groggily.

He moved in a slow pace and his posture was slouched. Anything but professional.

He didn't bother slicking his hair back like he usually did for work and instead let the fluffy mess hang where it was.

Chanyeol would usually pick out the best suit for work, but today, he didn't feel as classy.

And since it wasn't criteria to wear a suit, he decided jeans and a t-shirt would do.

But, just as he was about to make his way to change, a thought popped into his head that made him rethink his lazy attitude.

What if Baekhyun is on the bus today?

Chanyeol knows Baekhyun hasn't been on the bus in days, but what if he happens to be on today?

What if their little hang out yesterday spiked Baekhyun to want to ride the bus again?

Chanyeol's heart sped at the thought.

He doesn't want to look out of it in front of Baekhyun. He wants to look like he enjoys what he does, which he does enjoy it, but today just isn't his day.

But, the mere thought of Baekhyun seeing him, made his heart pound and his mind spin.

He felt a rush and quickly exchanged he clothes for a suit.

As he dressed himself, he also managed to get some gel into his hair and style it accordingly.

He even contemplated spraying a bit of old cologne over his body.

Chanyeol never really wore any sents, feeling like he smelled fine from using his normal wash when he took showers.

But for some reason, he was tempted to smell even better.

So, he took the risk and sprayed a bit onto his wrists, giving them a quick sniff before smiling in satisfaction.

He looked at himself in the mirror.

He notices the changes. He knows he's changing. And he knows why.

But, like many things, he won't admit it.

His smile faltered as he realized just how crazy he has become. How crazy he's become over a person.

Chanyeol let's out a sigh as he sees the new him begin to peak through.

Maybe this change is for the best.

As he makes his way towards the bus stop, he can't help but smile. In fact, he was smiling so much, his cheeks began to hurt.

But through the pain, smiling felt good.

As Chanyeol got to the stop and boarded the bus, the first thing he looked for was bright white hair. Hoping that Baekhyun would be there as if waiting for him.

But, when his eyes didn't land on anything that made him joyous, his smile disappeared and he fell into disappointment.

He checked the surroundings again and only sank into more dejection.

Maybe his change was for noting.

A buzz from his pocket pulled him out of his state of mind, causing him to pull his phone out.

He turned on his phone and continued straight to messages.

His eyes widened and his heart pounded.

Do you wanna hang out again sometime?
