When I got home, I tossed down my bike on the porch, and raced inside to the kitchen, where Mom, Hopper, and Johnathan sat. Hopper asked Mom,"Do you understand what I'm saying?" Mom shook her head, and said,"No..Whoever you found- Is not my boy.. Is not my Will.." Hopper said,"Joyce." I snapped,"If she says it's not Will, leave her alone! God.." Hopper whirled around, and said,"Sarah-" Mom said,"No, you don't understand! I talked to him! A half hour ago..." I froze. She walked over to a cupboard, where tangled white lights lay. She said,"He was- He was here.. Talking with these." She pointed at the white lights, and Hopper asked,"Talking?" She answered,"Uh-huh..One blink for yes, two for no. And- And, uh, I made this so he could talk to me.." She pointed at a wall covered in multicolored Christmas lights with black paint letters under each light, creating a letter board. She continued,"Cause he was hiding from that- That thing.." She pointed at a blank wall. Hopper asked,"The thing that came out of the wall? The thing that chased you?" Confused, I looked at the wall, and then, faint ringing in my ears. What could it mean?

Mom answered,"Yeah.." Johnathan said,"Please, Mom, you have to stop this. " Mom said,"No, maybe it's after him! He might be in danger! We have to-" Hopper asked,"What exactly was this thing? It was some kind if animal, you said?" Mom said,"No! It-It was almost human, but it wasn't.. It had these long arms, and-and it didn't have a face!" When she said that, chills ran up my spine, and I knew she'd seen the monster inside of my head. Which meant..Will could still be alive! Maybe, just maybe, that body wasn't him. But I wasn't sure.. Hopper started talking to Mom about how after his daughter Sara died, he saw and heard her too, and didn't know what was real. I knew if I tried to tell him, he would think I was crazier than he already knew I was. But I would tell Mom later on. Because she deserved more than- More than this. Hopper left, Johnathan stayed in his room, and Mom went out to the shed and got an axe. I sat down next to her on the couch, and said,"Mom, I believe you..Will is still out there somewhere, and I swear, I swear, we will find him." She nodded, tears in her eyes, and said,"Thank you.." I nodded, and laid my head on her shoulder, falling asleep like that.

The next morning, I woke up to find Mom asleep next to me, but she woke up, as Johnathan walked in. She asked,"What time is it?" He said,"Almost eight o clock. We have to go.." She asked,"Go where? Where?" He said,"To see Will." I looked at her, half asleep, and said,"Go on, Mom. I'm not going anywhere.. I'll stay here." She nodded, and she and Johnathan left. As soon as they were gone, I stood, and began pacing back and forth, and said,"Will..Come on! Where are you? You're still out there, aren't you? I will find you..And I will bring you home." I heard static coming from my room, and Mike's voice saying,"Sarah? Sarah Byers! Are you there? Over." I raced into my room, grabbing my supercomm, and said,"I'm here, Wheeler. Over." He said,"Get to my house, now! It's about Will.. Over and out." I quickly changed into a black Joan Jett tee, a blue and black plaid jacket, and some ripped black jeans, and raced out to the porch, grabbed my bike, and sped over to Mike's as quickly as possible. He lead me to the basement, where Dustin, Lucas, and El already sat, El messing with Mike's supercomm. He said,"Listen.." I heard a faint noise through static, and it sounded like- Like my brother. Like Will.. Mike said,"We keep losing the signal, but you heard it." Lucas said,"Yeah, I heard a baby." Mike asked,"What?" Lucas said,"Mike, you obviously tapped into a baby monitor. It was probably the Blackburns' next door." Mike, frustrated, asked,"Did that sound like a baby to you?" I whispered,"No.. It was Will. I'd know that sound anywhere.." Mike said,"Lucas, you don't understand. He spoke last night.. Words! He was singing that weird song he loves. Even El heard him." I smiled,"Darling, you've got to let me know.. Should I stay or should I go? He really does love that song." Lucas said,"Oh, well, if the weirdo heard him, then I guess-" Dustin interrupted,"Are you sure you're on the right channel?" Mike answered,"I don't think it's about that. I-I think somehow, she's channeling him." Dustin said,"Like Professor X." Mike said,"Yeah!" Lucas asked,"Are you really believing this crap?"
