I stood up, knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep anymore that night, especially with my monster hunger roaring for blood, and the fear of seeing the Mind Flayer once again flooding through me. I wiped my eyes, and silently made my way to the kitchen, opening the fridge, and looked, until I found the drawer full of blood packets that Hopper continuously snuck out of the hospital for me. I pulled one out, and sighed, pouring it into my thermos, which Will had decorated with dragons and lightning bolts, then popped it in the microwave, making it human temperature. If I tried drinking it any colder, I always ended up barfing everywhere, and my body would be in a lot of pain for hours and hours. I sighed with relief, as the microwave beeped, and pulled the thermos out, opening the lid, then drank down the contents, frowning, as I realised it wasn't enough this time.

I made one more thermos of blood, and the hunger finally faded away. I wiped my mouth, then walked back to my room quietly, shutting my door, then laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. As the shadows reminded me of the vision I'd seen, the tears started up again, and I closed my eyes, shaking. "It wasn't real..It couldn't be..It was just another nightmare, and Billy's fine. The Mind Flayer is gone..Eleven killed him." I sighed, and stood back up, and silently snuck out the front door, grabbing my bike, and rode to Mike's house. I carefully knocked on the door, and Lucas opened it, staring at me in surprise. "Sarah, hey..Wanna come in?" I nodded, and he moved, then we both made our way down to the basement, where Mike and Will were once again sitting,Will messing around with the D&D board again. I plopped on the couch again, and they stared at me, waiting for what they obviously knew was coming.

I asked, "What did I do wrong?? What did I do wrong?!" Lucas said, "Nothing, man." He handed me a bag of chips, and my human hunger rose, having not been fed that night yet. I tore open the bag, and stuffed a few chips in my mouth, before saying, "I don't understand what I did to deserve this." Lucas said, "Nothing." I said, "Nothing! That's my point! Why is she treating me this way??" Lucas sighed, and replied, "I don't know, bro.." I continued, "What did I do wrong?!" Lucas said, "Sarah! Stop, relax..Just relax. Stop asking rational questions." I said, "I know, I know. You're right..You're right. I don't wanna break Mike's mint condition Anakin Skywalker, or his bookshelf again." Mike said, "Because women act on emotion, and not logic." I got a bit offended, and muttered, "What?" Lucas said, "Precisely! It's a whole different species." At that point, I was turning red, my face heating up. "Excuse me, shitheads, but I'm sitting right here!" Mike said, "You don't really count as a girl..You act more like a boy." I fumed, and shot up, storming to his bathroom, every insult Steve Harrington uttered to me two years before about me being a boy coming back, and slammed the door. "I'm a girl, dumbass!"

I heard Will through the door, "Guys, it's ready." Lucas said, "Will, not now." My brother said angrily, "They broke up with you! What else is there to talk about?!" I flinched, hurt ripping through my insides once again, and though I'd asked Lucas what I did wrong to deserve El breaking up with me, I knew that it was because I was a liar, and I would've had to break up with her anyway, because her dad didn't support our girl and girl relationship. I sniffled, closing my eyes, and felt tears slide down my face again, then felt a familiar presence, and whirled around, not able to see anything, but knew El was watching all of us. I sighed, and turned back around, knowing nothing I said would fix any of this..Not right then, anyway. Mike said, "We're trying to solve the great mystery of the female species." I wrinkled my nose, as Mike burped, and he said, "Dude, you can smell the nacho cheese." My brother echoed my feelings exactly, as he made a disgusted noise.

Lucas said, "I got that beat", and my eyes widened. I was glad I was safe in the bathroom, as Will said, "No." Mike said, "No, Lucas, no..No, Lucas..Lucas!" I sighed in annoyance and disgust, as Lucas farted loudly, and exited the bathroom. "You know what? This great mystery is gonna march her happy ass home. You guys are gross." Lucas said, "C'mon, Sarah..Don't leave. We're sorry." I ignored them, and went upstairs, shutting the front door behind me, and swallowed hard, enveloped in darkness. I muttered, "Don't be such a baby, Sarah. Just get home.." I climbed onto my bike, and started pedaling, wanting to get back home, so I could sit in my room and stare at the ceiling, which was better than being insulted by my supposed best friends. As I rode, my vision suddenly blurred, skipping back and forth from the road to the dark warehouse with Billy, like two bad television channels blending together. I shook my head, trying to clear it, and suddenly, found myself standing inside the warehouse, right behind Billy. I breathed hard and fast, listening to the girl still screaming, and slowly began realising that maybe, just maybe, these visions were more than bad nightmares.
