Many days go on and others drag out, especially if you are in school. My highlights? A couple of people. One person is my best friend Tootsie, her name is Trinity. Another is a guy that I like. He is well known around the school, one of the most popular guys. Yeah, it's typical, unknown girls falling for the football player. I may be a hopeless romantic... but only Tootsie knows this. She is my only really good friend, I have a few other friends along with her.
Tootsie is shorter than me by a few inches, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is also slim, but she says its cause of her high metabolism. We've been friends since childhood. Her mom is friends with my mom. When we needed to move, the two women couldn't stand being away from each other, and neither could we. She knows all of my secrets, she is even considered part of my pack with my wolves! Tootsie helps me through everything, and I help her.
The guy's name is Liam. He doesn't try to draw attention to himself, but he doesn't shy away from a camera. He likes to have competition, hence why he's in football. I've liked him ever since I first set eyes on him, cliche I know, and I have been drawn to him since. I'm a junior in Highschool while he is a Senior. I barely moved to Little Missouri a year on the first Friday of the school year. It just happened that he was in his jersey when his class merged with mine for the day. He looked really handsome and he still does, but really who doesn't look good in a nice uniform?
My family ritually goes to all the football games, but I am in the band, so I HAVE to go. I never really liked going to the games, I started to after I saw him playing. He is tall, about 6'0, medium brown hair, and hazel eyes. He is just about the exact opposite of me. Our similarities? We are both in extra-curricular and advanced classes. He likes football and basketball, I like Band and acting.
Tootsie consistently talks about how I should ask Liam out on a date, but I'm really shy and stumble on my words in front of him. He will easily be considered one of the most popular guys in my high school, and he is way out of my league but I don't care. Some days I swear that he could be looking at me and like me, then others I know he doesn't.
As I continue my normal path of going from one class to another in early October, I eventually get to see him in the halls and I love every minute of it. Suddenly Tootsie comes around me and gives me a knowing look. "All right Ocean back to the earth where you need to be." I shake my head as I slightly blush from getting caught... again. "I make no comment to help me out of this situation..." I say. I casually sneak a glance back towards Liam, just to see him again. As I do this, I see him turn a little. This is one of those moments that make me think that I have a chance at being with him. "Okay, I'm done now..." I say to Tootsie. "What happened now?" she says with a small laugh. I explain to her that small movement.
She understands but still laughs at my silly antics. "Alright, let's get to class." We walk away to next period while I have a certain guy on my mind again.
