During the next few weeks, I heard that Liam was continuously trying to figure out who his mystery girl was, many people had theories but it was never the right girl. All of my classmates wanted to try and throw him off by sending him on a wild goose chase, but never in my direction. They loved trying to find new ways to hide my identity. A short time later, my parents had another business meeting with Liam's family. It was finally November 17th, also it was the day before my birthday. My only question is why would my family try to have a meeting on a school night?

I was wearing a burgundy blazer with a white undershirt and a grey infinity scarf that had red undertones.  I wore regular dark blue jeans and cheetah-print flats (picture). My hair was loosely curled and kept down. We had brought Liam's family to our personal lake house for this meeting. My wolves would show up every now and then, but they kept their distance from everyone else. The lake house wasn't too far from the town, only a few minutes away, and still pretty close to the woods.

After Liam's family got there, we greeted them and started to talk to each other. We were getting to know our co-workers and slowly becoming friends with them, at least, this is what my parents are telling me. Liam actually had a little sister, so she and Bay got along fairly well, but Bay really wants to be friends with Liam. After we ate food and finished all of the company work, the two families decided on singing songs. I sang a few songs with Bay and Eric, my older brother, and the same thing with Liam and his sister.

At one point, my father sang to my mom. Then, Liam's parents sang to each other, too. The parents even made it a rule that everyone had to sing together, in the same generation anyways. So I had to sing with My siblings... and Liam's. I was fine with Lily, Liam's sister, but... it also meant that I had to sing with Liam... again. The thing is, he wouldn't know that it was me from the last time. All of the songs ranged from Queen to Brooks and Dunn to Khalid, and more. Lily and Bay both ended up singing Baby Shark, so that was stuck in our heads for a VERY long time.

I was just sitting down and listening to Liam's dad singing Mockingbird with Lily when my mother called to me. "Hon, I've noticed that you keep glancing at Liam and lose your spot in many of your favourite songs. This leads me to believe that you possibly have a crush on him," said my mother. I gave her an "oh" look and started to blush, I nodded my head while hiding my face. She started to quietly squeal while acting very excited, she thought I would never like anyone. I started to shush her in fear of the family hearing my mother's antics. "You must sing a smooth romance song with him tonight, make it the last song of the night to be even more affective," said mom.

After I finally agreed, we started to go back and forth with a multitude of song choices. She wanted something along the lines of "Almost Paradise" by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson, but I wanted something like "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum. After going back and forth for a while, we both decided on "Superhuman" by Chris Brown and Keri Hilson. Now I just hoped that he knew the song.

My mother went up to our sound system and said that the last song of tonight was going to be sung by Liam and Rose. I went up to him and asked if he knew the song I picked. After a moment of thought, he said he wasn't sure, but it sounded familiar. He was going to try to sing it with me, but didn't promise a lot of success.

We got the song up and heard the introduction. I watched Liam's facial reactions and realized that it was familiar to him. He started to sing the song with me. "You changed my whole life. Don't know what you're doing to me with your love. I'm feeling all superhuman, you did that to me. Superhuman heart beats in me. Nothing can stop me here with you, Superhuman." We sang together as well as we did before, but I still doubt he realizes that it was me back then.

I then started to sing my brief part. "For every problem is gone because, I flew everywhere with love inside of me, It's unbelievable to see how love can set me free." I closed my eyes as I sang my solo, I was really engulfed into the music and lyrics. The one thing I didn't realize was the look of shock that appeared on Liam's face as he finally realized my secret, that I was his mystery girl. Everything else in the room just disappeared as I finally looked back at Liam when his cue came again. My whole world stopped for a minute.

"You changed my whole life. Don't know what you're doing to me (to me) with your love (uh huh). I'm feeling all superhuman you did that to me. Superhuman heart beats in me. Nothing can stop me here with you. Superhuman." At the same time, we both looked at each other and started to walk, reducing the space between us. As we came closer together, he gently grasped my hand and twirled me smoothly.

"It's not a bird, not a plane. It's my heart and it's going going away. My only weakness is you (is you), only reason is you (you)." He slowly started to walk around me while still holding my hand, with me watching his every move as he continues to sing. "Every minute with you, I feel like I can do anything. Going going I'm gone away in love." We stare at each other intently as we sing this part. Liam stopped walking around me and, while still holding my right hand, raised my arm over my head so he was directly behind me and holding me. We started to sway with each other to the beat as we sang the chorus one last time. We stared into each other's eyes as we sang the last chord.

We snapped out of our bubble of serenity after our families started to clap. We broke apart and I noticed that my dad was slightly glaring at Liam but clapping nonetheless, both of our mothers had tears in their eyes, and Liam's dad was giving him a thumbs up and clapping. We both bowed accordingly, but I had a slight blush on my cheeks.

After the song, the families started to gather their things, but Liam started to talk to me before he left. "So you're my mystery girl, huh?" he said, as a grin played across his lips. "I guess so," I said, also with a small smile. "Well, I'm glad that it was you instead of all those other names that I got from your classmates," he said with a slight chuckle. He then asked why I never told him. "I'm generally a shy person, especially when it comes to you. I had to think of myself as a character in a play so that I wouldn't stutter over all of my words. I also wanted it to be a surprise and I thought in the back of my mind that it would've been a disappointment," I said while looking down to my feet.

"You are definitely not a disappointment, Rose," said Liam. "I also thought that you were probably going to somehow end up dating Cinderella, even though you already said you wouldn't," I admitted. He looked at me with a dumbfounded expression. "Definitely not, I can see right through her persona. She is not someone I would want to ever be with," he said back to me. "Who is the girl you said that you had in mind to date, from that day you found me in my safe haven?" I asked him, not really hoping to know the answer. "Well..." he paused, "It's you."
