Once my family had finally gotten into one of our cars, I wanted to ask where we were going. The first time I asked, Mom had told me it was a surprise and not to ask her about a thousand times. I huffed slightly and decided to put in my headphones. I went and played some of today's top hits and lip-synched to it. I watched the sky get darker and loved how the lights went across my window, coming and leaving so quickly, but still getting the full picture of light. I ended up listening to Lovely by Khalid and Billie Eilish. I sung to the song and felt a similarity between me and Liam. I started to tear up a little, but I couldn't because of the make-up. I had to go and change the song at the end to something more upbeat. I stayed with Khalid but put on Young, Dumb and Broke. I still felt pretty upset, but I felt that I would get over it.

I started to think, and I realized, I couldn't imagine Liam wanting to hold my hand. Wanting to look at me every day, looking at me with adoration. I was pretty sure, but I didn't truly know, that after I got with him (in some magical world) that I wouldn't just start to look at him like an old toy. I do this with a lot of everything else, and I've never really had emotions as strong as this before, so I honestly don't know. But, I was pretty sure that he wouldn't want to be near me all the time and deal with my insecurities and my romantic-needy side. I don't even know how someone else would react to this side of me, besides my friends. I think that a part of me was trying to move on, knowing that I would never have that chance of being on his level. He was way too far out of my league. He was on a different planet than I was. I would never be enough for him, he would deserve so much more.

We finally got to the hosts' house and went out to meet them, along with stretching our legs. We were greeted by the adults, but the woman said that she had a son and that he was probably finishing getting ready. I had missed her last name, since I was so deep in thought, but I smiled and kept small talk. Turns out that they had a medium sized dog, so I wasn't lonely. I prefer dogs over just about anything else. I sat down on the porch and started to pet the beautiful, multi-colored, Australian Shepherd. "Her name is Belle," said a strangely familiar voice. "Liam?" I said questioningly as I turned around to see the intruder of my peace.

There he was, in all his glory, the man I was just thinking about and thought I would quickly get over. He made my heart stammer, especially for seeing him in a suit again. I say again since, about a month back, he was in a suit for Homecoming. I realized that I was probably staring a bit too long and felt my face turning a little red. Since I didn't want to embarrass myself further, I decided to talk to Belle. "Hiya Belle! You're such a pretty girl, huh?" She started to wag her tail happily and licked my hands. She then ran to Liam and greeted him. He obviously was her favorite person, her owner. "So you're the secret business partner, huh?" He asked me. "I guess so. Your parents didn't tell you either?" I asked. He replied with a no. We both stayed in silence thinking for a minute before my brother had walked in. "Rose, we are about to eat... Are you their son?" he said to Liam. "Yeah, I am," said Liam.

My brother, Baelfire AKA Bay, was in awe of how tall Liam was, he also walked up and (tried) to act professionally around him. The huge grin on his little face said it all though, he wanted this guy to be his new best friend. Baelfire is only 7 years old, but love to have fun wherever he is. Bay asked Liam if he liked any music, to which Liam replied: "yes, I do." The little rascal asked if he played any instruments. "Yeah, I play the acoustic guitar a little," said Liam. My brother went crazy over this and asked repeatedly if Liam would play for him. After Liam said yes, Bay shouted in glee and told him that I played instruments too.

Liam looked at me with a question mark look on his face, he heard the plural version of instrument. He knew of the flute, but not of my other talents. I play a little piano and guitar, too; I'm not as good at them as I am the flute, but I still can play a bit. "I play a bit of guitar and piano, too. Not as well as the flute, but I play." I told him with a slight blush of embarrassment. Liam had the "oh" look and decided to look a bit impressively at me. "Do you want to play with me?" asked Liam. I said sure, to keep the child entertained and the musician in me at bay.

He brought out 2 guitars, both acoustic. He explained that he preferred the acoustic sound of a live guitar and he has played ever since he was in Junior High. We set up in the living room with two chairs and each had a stand, then he started tuning and as did I. After we got into tune, we looked at the music that he had. "Hmm... what type of music would he like?" asked Liam. I replied with just about anything that Liam had, as long as we would play for him. Luckily, he had a couple of duets since his father played a bit of guitar, too. We both decided to play "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" by Poison. We both lightly hummed along, while my baby brother decided to tap along and sway, my older brother came in to listen. Eventually, everyone came into the large living room and listened to the two people playing. We eventually started to sing at the chorus. Everyone looked like they loved the performance. My mother even started to cry a little bit from the touching song.

As we finished, I found that I really liked playing an instrument with him. We both looked at each other and bowed accordingly. It was as if we both finished our drama performance and finished everything the way we were supposed to. It was exactly how we wanted it to be. After we finished, it was time to eat and discuss politics about the company cooperation. The night kind of dragged on, but I felt happy. Happy about playing with him and with putting on a really good performance.
