As it gets closer and closer to Halloween, I find myself always plotting. No, not an "I'm an evil witch plotting your death" kind but the "I want to dream the perfect life" plotting. I noticed that most of my plans involve starting to talk at Halloween. The football team has a game on the Friday before Halloween. The band is even able to wear their costumes during the game!

As I imagine what type of ghoul or nightly creature I could be, I imagine it being interlaced with Liam. Yeah, it's cheesy, but that is my specialty. I catch up with Tootsie down the hall where we usually meet. "Hey Tootsie!" "What's up, Ocean?" said Tootsie. "Nothing much just walked out of my grave from English. What about you, any new, killer project?" I said. "Nah, for once, the teacher wasn't even here." Tootsie was excited. "What are you gonna do for Halloween?" she said. "Oh my god, I have so many ideas... But they're all cheesy." I replied. Tootsie snickered. "Anything to do with.. Liiiaaam" she says while a knowing smile reaches her lips.

Sometimes it's just easier to not say anything with her. "I'm taking that as a yes then. I should go and say that you're choosing couples' costumes then." She said. "No, no, no, no, noooooooo. Don't do that. No." I stared at her in fright and slight anger. She just laughs at me, as usual. She looks away and says, "I don't know why you won't go and talk to him." I give her a deadpanned look and say, "Have you met me? I'm totally shy and I can't say a word around him without looking like a dork."

Speak of the Devil... There he is in all his natural glory. I falter for a minute before continuing my way to my class. "Besides, why can't I just enjoy the moments of where I daydream thinking he could basically be the Romeo to my Juliet?" Tootsie just gags a little at the Shakesperian article's name. She hates the romance and cheesy antics of one lover dying for the other. "Just because in all of your stories the girl falls for the guy, the guy asks her out, happily ever after, doesn't mean that it'll happen for real. You have to take control of your own life sometimes... Plus you hate the anticipation and the feeling of how he may have a girlfriend already and you don't know." Says Tootsie after a while.

Then, an idea struck me. What if I dressed up as darkness. Like a shadow? What if I had posed as "the girl of your dreams" or your soulmate. That would be interesting.

"-oling while your man is in front of us." Wait, what? "huh?" I said. "Your drooling. Liam. Right there." said Tootsie very slowly. Oh lord, not again. Uh, not that it happens a lot anyway. I try to compose myself before he comes around. And turns out Trinity was just kidding. She starts laughing after I give her a glare. Liam walks by and he steals my attention faster than a bullet could leave a gun. My heart feels like it falters for a minute, butterflies arouse in my stomach. I feel my blush quickly appearing as I feel like he looks right at me and gives me a small smile. God that smile, it kills me every time. I almost start to trip over my feet, but I don't. It's a wonder I don't actually trip right in front of him more.

I suddenly hear a laugh from behind me. That's not Tootsie's laugh. Oh no, that laugh. That laugh is a cheerleader's laugh. There is only one cheerleader that laughs like that. Her name is Cinderella, AKA Cindy. Her parents really like the fairy tales and hope that their precious daughter will marry her prince charming and be able to rule her own kingdom happily ever after.

Cindy is a varsity cheerleader, and like me, is always at a football game. Her dream? Get with the varsity football player and steal his heart from any girl, then leave him like a sack of rotten potatoes. She makes the guy end up like a lost puppy without her and she leaves them with a broken heart. Her next target? Liam. My Liam. I don't want him to be hurt like that, I mean I wouldn't mind fixing the pieces together and him falling in love with me after, but what are the chances of that. Every guy that ended up being left was later downgraded on the popularity poll.

She goes up to Liam and raps her arm around his and pushes herself impossibly closer to him. "God, he must be seriously uncomfortable with her there," says Tootsie. I agree with her and continue to stare as she leads me to my next class. Cindy finds my gaze and gets a predatory look on her face. Oh no. When she finds someone that wants the same guy, she embarrasses them in front of their crush, this is to eliminate the competition. And it seems to me that I am the next target. "Wow I never thought that I would see you have steam coming out of your ears turning to be a deer caught in the headlights so quickly," said Tootsie.

I giver her a look and we quickly go to the same class together. "Okay, what happened?" she said. "I'm her next victim." I said. Now she was a deer caught in the headlights.
