A Dodge Hellcat roared down the highway, towards Nevada. In the driver seat sat who else but Jake Waver. The now grown man who fought Thatcher face to face. Ever since Jake had lost Lilli, he had started plotting on how to defeat Thatcher.
Jake had thought it'd be better to stay under the radar. So instead of flying, he would drive everywhere. He had grown his beard out and his hair was pushed backwards, he wore black work boots, blue jeans, and a black t shirt. Where some scars were visible on his lower forearms. He had rebuilt his arm to where it was black carbon fiber and had a matte black finish. He, Jack, Mark, and Anthony has drifted apart. Whilst they still fought against the now "Worlds most dangerous man" and his army. They stopped hanging out as much.
As of now, Jake had managed to go back and find the stones that Jax and Hannah had dropped when they died. And with every time he passed their graves (at the site of Jay's lab no less) he place a bottle of water, an empty glass bottle corked, and a lighter.
He managed to figure out that the stones, were like the core of their powers. As if they gave them a different type of system, most like the nervous. So if he could somehow build a mechanical arm that had ports for the three stones he would be able to fight Thatcher with even more power. He thought it was kinda like have the original four fighting side by side one last time.
Suddenly, Jakes phone began to ring. He grabbed it and glanced down at the screen.
"Anthony?" Jake mumbled. He double tapped the screen and on his windshield appeared Anthony.
"What's going on Anthony?" Jake asked.
"We've got some tips that Thatcher is going to be in Las Vegas tonight for some meeting with a corrupt group of politicians. Can you swing by? I'll be there in a few hours, let's meet up at the QuinceHotel." Anthony spoke before hanging up. Jake double tapped the screen again and his phone turned off.
"I guess I need to get there pretty quick." Jake spoke. He ran his metal hand over the center of the steering wheel and the top and bottom suddenly slid on top of the sides and the car gave a sudden loud roar. Jake tapped a red button on the console and the car took off like a rocket.
As Jake drove into the city he slowed down and pulled into the Hotel. He climbed out of the car and tossed the keys to a man in a red vest and black slacks.
"Don't touch the red button." Jake spoke.
"Of course not, Mr.Waver." The man smiled. Jake figured the buy had seen him on television and didn't think much of it.
Jake grabbed a trench coat from the trunk of the car and pulled it on. The sleeves covered his metal limb and he pulled a black rubber glove over his hand. He walked into the hotel and directly to the front desk.
"Is there an Anthony Shoemaker in your system?" Jake asked, slightly altering his voice.
"Let me check..." the woman spoke. Jake looked around in anticipation and saw someone sitting on the couch. It was Anthony who had spotted Jake.
"Never mind, I see him." Jake spoke as he tapped the desk.
"What are you doing out here? We were supposed to meet in your room." Jake said in almost a whisper.
"I couldn't get a room, Thatcher has the entire system being surveyed. It's to protect from anyone he doesn't want in the hotel." Anthony spoke back.
"Now what? We can't just sit around until Tatcher walks in. We need a plan... Where's Mark and Jack?" Jake went on.
"They're on look out, if they see him we'll know. Have you finished your project?" Anthony asked.
"Just about, all I need to do is attach the arm... it's just hard to do when I gave my car to Valley." Jake went on.
"Valley? Thatcher will know if your car goes in the system!" Anthony said in shock.
Jake felt his heart drop. He grabbed Anthony and yanked him outside.
"I'll go from the top and you go through the entrance. Here." Jake handed Anthony a slip of paper.
"Show this to the guy. If he doesn't want anyone to know what's going on then he'll let you into the garage. It's W-A-V-E-R just if he asks." Jake whispered. Anthony nodded and the two split up.
Jake flew into the roof and landed beside a car just as a guard with a massive gun strolled by. Jake managed to hide just as the guard glanced to the car. As the guard trotted off Jake stood up and ripped off his jacket and glove. He flung his sunglasses off and ran towards a set of stairs. As he quickly went down the stairs he glanced at the pillars. 20, 21 ,22... soon Jake was on the 23rd floor. The same floor the ticket had written on it. As he rounded a corner he heard foot steps coming up the stairs.
He bit his lip and sped up as he saw his car. He grabbed the handle to the trunk and lifted. A small metal plate popped up and Jake place his left thumb on it.
After a few seconds the trunk popped open and there sat a large metal case. He lifted it open and there laid a large metal arm with three empty slots on the upper arm. And in the black foam next to the arm we're three stones, water, fire, and air. The three stones of the three remaining elements.
Jake grabbed a bolt in his arm and twisted it until it popped out. He than did the same to three other bolts. He than gritted his teeth as he slid a plate out of place and a loud pop echoed. He detached the arm and laid it beside the other.
He grabbed the stones and put them in place. He than pushed a button and the slots closed. Jake put the arm up to his shoulder and put the bolts in place. He than grabbed a towel from the trunk and hit down on it.
He gripped the slider and shoved it closed. Another pop echoed and the three slots glowed brightly.
A sudden surge of power raced through Jake's body and into his own energy. His eyes became a bright white and his veins appeared to glow as well.
As the surge went to a low grumble Jake got his senses back in control. Jake felt stronger even with his red energy at full capacity. He knew he would still have to try his hardest against Thatcher. After all, it had been five years.
