His new arm hummed with power and Jake felt it flow through him. Suddenly footsteps came up behind him and he turned.
"I'm sorry Jake, they found us and I had no choice, they were gonna kill Mark." Jack cried.
"It's alright, you did what you thought was right." Jake spoke confidently.
"Gentlemen, I'm gonna give you five seconds to let my friends here go." Jake went on.
"What are you gonna do? Hurt with that piece of shit arm? Please." One of the guards called.
Jake rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Fine." Jake mumbled.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He held out his metal hand and the slots began to glow. He held out his other hand and it began to glow red. The entire parking garage began to shake and the cars shifted. As rock began to fall the guards let go of Jack and ran off.
The hum of the power began to grow louder and louder until Jake began to float in the air. His hair started to be pushed around from a strong wind and water seemed to seep in through the cracks in the stone, the air around them soon became stuffy, as if a fire was beginning to engulf the garage.
"Jake!" Jack shouted over the now roar of energy.
"Take the shot while you still can." He shouted.
Jake focused as hard as he could. He forced his eyes open and he held out his hands, as if they were guns and as if he were a child he cocked his hands as if he had pulled the trigger.
"Pow." Jake mumbled in a low voice. A sudden boom of fire, water, stone, air, and red energy soared from his hands and raced passed Jack. The elements rocketed towards the guards and swiftly went through their chests as if they weren't even there.
The shaking suddenly stopped and Jake hit the ground. He landed on his hands and knees and gasped for air. He laid on his back and rubbed his head.
"That took way too long and way too much energy out of me. Before we attack Thatcher I need to perfect how I'm gonna use this arm." Jake groaned.
The two ran towards the car as the stone began to crack apart. Jake hoped into the driver's seat and revel the engine. Jake through it in reverse and slammed the gas.
"Hold onto something!" Jake shouted.
Jack wrapped his arms around himself as Jake slammed on the breaks and spun the car around. He put it in drive and sped down the hall. As they made it towards the entrance they saw Mark and Anthony fighting off a few guards.
As the two were rapidly approaching Jake hit the horn. The two looked up and dove. The guards turned around and as the dove Mark and Anthony took hold of them and felt with them accordingly. The car suddenly hit the ramp and flew through the air and slammed down on the pavement. Jake hit the brakes and pulled the wheel to the right.
The car skidded to a halt and Jake presses a button that swung open the back doors.
"Get in!" He shouted. Mark and Anthony climbed just as guards ran out with machine guns.
"Book it!" Mark yelled.
Jake hit the gas and as the wheels spun the roar of bullets rang out. The car sped down the road and out of sight. Jake took a deep breath and glanced into the rear view mirror. There stood Thatcher, his eyes piercing into Jake's.
Jake rolled down the window and held out his hand with only one finger standing tall. He gave a slight smile and drove off.
After five hours of almost complete silence they pulled into a large house. As the approached a large gate it opened and Jake drove right in.
"Where are we?" Anthony asked in an exhausted voice.
"Gentlemen, welcome to my home. Our brand new headquarters." Jake laughed.
As the four climbed out of the car and walked towards the door Jake tapped a few buttons on a panel beside the front door. The others looked back to see the Hellcat slowly sink into the ground.
"Hey, what's happening?" Jack asked.
"He clearly has a garage under the ground that he stores all of his vehicles in." Mark chimed in.
The four walked into the house and took it all in. Jake tossed his keys onto a stone table that had a large mirror attached to it.
"Alright, I have three guest rooms up stairs all of which have a tv, a king bed, and their own bathrooms. Don't think I would leave y'all in a shitty hotel when I could just bring ya here." Jake chuckled.
"We'll all get a good nights rest and whenever y'all want we'll get to staging our next fight, in the meantime. I have a full gym, a steam room, a kitchen, and anything y'all want that I don't have here is not to far away. Just choose a set of keys from the table and go down to the garage. See y'all tomorrow, help yourselves to the pantry or fridge and good night." Jake finished as he turned and walked towards a set of oak doors.
He closed the doors behind him and immediately took off his shirt and walked towards a large desk. He sat down in the chair and placed his robotic arm in a strange machine. He clicked it in place and pressed a button. The machine whirred to life and before he knew it his arm was detached. He stood up and picked up his detached arm from the machine.
He walked with it into a closet and knelt down in front of a large safe, he placed his eye close to what seemed to be a small glass screen. A green light slid over his eye and a voice spoke.
"Access granted, hello Mr. Waver."
The door swung open and there was what appeared to be a stand of some sort. He placed the arm on the stand and closed the safe.
He than walked back to the desk and typed a few words and placed his shoulder back into the machine. After a few clicks and beeps Jake took out his arm and there was a plastic, slightly less sleek, arm. Jake removed his pants and replaced them with pajama bottoms and fell onto his bed. He climbed under the covers and rolled onto his side. He closed his eyes and fell asleep almost instantly.
