Jake landed with a thud as he forced his boots against the pavement. He rolled forward and somehow landed back onto his feet.

He looked around and adjusted his jacket. Jake glanced down the street and saw a small girl prancing around with a ball. He eyed her as a large truck pulled onto the street and was quickly picking up speed.

Suddenly, the girl dropped her ball and it bounced into the street. The girl instantly started towards it. Jake felt his heart sink.

"Wait!" He shouted as he started to run.

Jake ran as the truck roared pst him towards the girl. Jake then pushed off into the air. He raced in front of the truck as the driver slammed on the brakes.

The girl looked up just as Jake grabbed her and knelt down, his back to the truck and the girl tucked into his chest.

The truck smashed into his back and knocked the two forward. Jake flew forward and managed to turn onto his back just as he hit.

The girl got up and looked longingly at Jake.

Jake sat up as blood dropped from a gash on his face. The girl kissed her hand and put it against his cut.

"All better!" She laughed and pranced away.

Just then, the driver climbed out of the truck and a woman ran out of a house and towards the girl.

The man helped Jake up.

"Dude! Are you okay!?" He shouted in horror.

"I'm fine." Jake spoke.

"I'm so sorry! The girl just jumped out of no where." The driver defended.

"It wasn't your fault." Jake told him.

The woman picked up the girl and walked towards Jake. Jake gave her a smile and a grin before rising into the air.

The woman and the girl stared in awe at Jake. The girl laughed and pointed at Jake.

"Look mommy! It's Superman!" She shouted in purity.

Jake chuckled as the woman didn't respond.

He then rocketed away. As he flew, Jake felt his phone vibrate. He stopped in the air and grabbed it.

He put it to his ear.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Where the fuck are you!?" Daniel shouted.

"I don't know, somewhere in Austin I think." Jake spoke.

In just an instant, Daniel and Ellie were floating in front of him, Daniel has Ellie on his back, like a piggy back.

"What the fuck!?" Jake stammered in absolute shock.

"Where the hell have you been!?" Ellie snapped.

"Losing, I've been trying to fix some stuff." Jake stuttered.

"What do you mean, 'losing'?" Ellie asked.

"We need to talk somewhere else." Jake spoke.

The three floated towards the roof of a skyscraper.

As they landed Ellie jumped at Jake and smacked him.

Jake held his face and gasped.

"Seriously!?" He snapped.

Daniel grabbed Ellie and held her back.

"You just left us!" Ellie screamed.

"I'm sorry." Jake mumbled.

"You think that'll solve it!?" Ellie shouted.
