I stepped out of the shower after at least an hour and walked over to my stolen items sitting on the bench. I shivered from the cold air and wrapped a towel around myself, drying off the cold drops of water splattered across my skin. I carefully changed into the tight red t-shirt and high waist denim shorts. The skimpy clothing would make it easier to wrap my bandages around my skin. I tied my hair up in a bun, using my hair to tie it into a knot. Finally, I sat down and breathed deeply. I picked up the cream and dipped my finger into it, collecting the cream onto my finger. The cream was cool and smooth against my skin. I dabbed the cream all over my burns and wounds, being cautious not to touch it too much. As soon as I had finished, I laid down to let the cream sink in. When it had all rubbed in, I wrapped the bandage firmly around all the wounds. I winced multiple times from the pain but managed to put up with it. After all, I had been lucky enough to come across a first aid kit with the items I needed, and a shower to make myself clean. I finished up putting the bandages on my wounds and stood up. The water splashed beneath my feet as I walked over to where the entrance used to be. I waved my hand in front of my face, and the barrier crumpled to the ground. It then became a part of the ground, and there was no trace that it was there.

To stay out of sight, I created a puddle of darkness beneath my feet. It began to float and lifted me off the flooring. The pool carried me up to the roof as I made it through the white hallways. I leaned forward over the black puddle looking down, but I bent over too far. I toppled face first off the cloud. Trying to summon my magic again, I started to slow down and stop right before I hit the ground. I landed gracefully on the ground, thinking what could have caused the stop. I looked around the room and finally into the floor. The floor showed my reflection, and I was surprised at what I saw. Large, black, feathered wings were sticking out of my back. I could move them around a bit and control them, so I didn't fall over. I tried to fly a couple times, but I shot straight up towards the roof. Pain shot through my skull, and I hit it hard against the roof. Slowly I descended down towards the ground. As I landed, a black puddle of ink shot out of my body and circled around me. Suddenly it tightened around my body, replacing the clothes I had on with new ones. They were pitch black and skin tight. I felt strangely powerful in these clothes, yet chillingly evil as well. It was like I was some sort of demon, horrifically powerful yet not quite right. My hair was suddenly blown back, and as it fell on my face, I could see the colour changing from a light brown colour to jet black shade. The ink spread around my feet, forming knee length boots. My height had shot up, as I looked at my ankles 5-inch heels shot out. I walked comfortably towards the white area like I have walked in heels a million times before. Truth be told, I didn't remember much from before I woke up trapped here. I cringed at the memories of only today. Hours must have passed, I don't know how many but a lot of things have been done. I walked further down the white hallway and came across three doors. Each door was labeled with glowing signs above the white doors. The one to my right said Medical Room. The one to my left said Memory Room. The door right in front of me had static noises coming out of it. I took a step forward and read the label. It read Control Room. Bingo! I thought. This was my escape route. I crept towards the door and pushed it open slightly. It made a small creaking noise as I entered. Screens filled the rooms and a large bench filled with levers and buttons. Two large chairs sat in front of the control panel. I walked around to the front of the chair and saw to dead guards sitting in the chairs. Their skin was colour drained, and they had to dots on their neck leaking blood. I looked at the screens, and it showed every room in the lab. Lucky this had happened, or I would have been caught long ago. Heavy footsteps sounded in the hallway. It sounded like the boots that the guards wear except there were lots of them. They must have figured out how to escape my trap. There was no time to keep wandering so I spread my wings and flew up to the roof. I held on to the beams that were there and kept my eyes on the ground. The door opened, and many guards poured through the door checking every nook and cranny. I looked up and saw someone looking directly at me on the beams as well. She had red hair and vampire fangs. Blood was dribbling along her chin as if she had recently fed. I realised she must've killed the guards in an attempt to escape. I motioned for her to follow me and she nodded. I jumped down off the beams and landed on top of the door. I was silent on my feet, and no one heard me. Most guards were facing the other way. I jumped through the doorway and ran out. Five guards stood before me facing the other way. I had the element of surprise. Suddenly the vampire girl stood next to me. I nodded in her direction, and she nodded back. We both ran forward and tackled a guard each to the ground. I snapped the guard's neck with my legs and shot up. I ran towards my next opponent and jumped using my wings to gain height. I wrapped my legs around his neck and lent back towards the ground. I flipped him upside down and slammed his skull into the floor. A sizeable cracking noise sounded followed by a muffled scream that drained away after a few seconds. I turned to face my new opponent, but none was left. The guards from the control room must've come out because more than three bodies were lying there. A total of 13 corpses lay in front of me. The vampire girl stood there panting in the middle of all these figures.

"No time to explain, let's move!" She said waving her hands and started running.

I spread my wings and flew over the bodies catching up to the vampire girl. "What's your name?" I asked her.

"Scarlett. Yours?" She replied still focused on running.

"Levana. Nice name."

"Same to you."

I was just trying to make conversation to ease the tension, but she was making it hard for me. Instead, I decided to focus on where we were going. We went down a large hallway until we reached a massive iron wall. Dead end. An idea popped into my head.

"Wait here," I told her commandingly. I flew off back down the hall to the control room. I flew over all the dead bodies and spiralled in through the door. I landed in front of the control panel and looked for any label saying front door. I saw one lever with the stamp on it. Just to make sure I looked at the layout of the lab and saw the door Scarlett was waiting at. It was undoubtedly the front. I pulled the lever and flew as fast as I could back to the door. By the time I got there, the door was ¾ of the way open. Scarlett and I ran through the door together coming out to blazing heat and burning desert sand beneath our feet. I used my magic to cool our bodies down from the blazing heat and looked around. I saw sand and more sand. After I peered into the distance for a bit, I started to make out a city. Small figures moved around the place, and the grass was green. I jumped in joy and spiralled into the air. Scarlett pumped her fist into the air and began running. I flew alongside her. The approaching city looked beautiful, and I couldn't wait to get out of this heat to get there.
