As I drank I kept the blanket wrapper around my shoulders that I used to cover myself from the sun. The suns rays wouldn't kill me; it would just sting and make me very weak, to the level of passing out. Dying is a complete possibility if the suns rays cover my whole body for a very long time. The blood restored my health and my strength. The downside is I don't like to drain the blood of strangers I barely know and have done nothing wrong. It may be for my survival, but I would have to take so many lives to get there. The rich of my people have a special feeding room in all hospitals, were humans voluntarily give up their blood for us, but only the rich have that privilege. Others have to scourge the streets and kill off the old for the humans to gain rooms in the hospitals for the richer and more superior. If this duty is not carried out, every one that vampire is connected to dies, as well them. By the time my thoughts are over and I move back to reality, my face is covered in the crimson stains of blood I just consumed. Levana is staring at the empty bag and me. I drop to my knees and dig a hole in the sand. I place the bag in the hole and rip a piece of fabric off my dress. I use that fabric to wipe my face and bury it too.

"Lets get moving." I say to Levana when I am finally stood up.

"Yeah come on." She nods towards her outstretched hands and spreads her wings.

I only take a couple steps forwards when she shoots towards me and scoops me up in her hands. The speed is intense compared to the last time we flew and its make me shiver. I use the blanket to block the wind but it blows right through the blanket. Not very useful, I thought.

I signaled for Levana to land down on the sands. She looked down at the ground and then me. But then she did something I would never expect. She dropped me.
