Breaking Ties

You're like Winter Breeze,
Stuck outside a moist Window Pane,
You Drift Inside,
Fill my Skies,
Then you Drift Away Again.
.

.
You're like Copper Skin.
Wrapped around my Arms and Legs.
Burning from the Sun Outside,
But Cold Inside,
I felt and felt till I felt no Longer Sane.
.

.
You're like The Pulsing, Gorging Rain,
But You were also the Plague.
Flowers And Feathers, Airy Shade,
Wrapped Love, Garnished in Pain.
.

.
So We Ran, Faces In the Wind,
Till our hands no Longer Held.
And I,
Couldn't glance back,
In Time,
To see You Break, and Fade Away.
.
Those Bruises, On your knees,
And Heart.
Are just as If you Fell, Yesterday.
Turning into something more blue,
Having something more to say,
As if you've had enough of this game.
.

.
But You were Shady Eyes,
Dark Skies, Rainbow Water Paint.
Hand Printed Across my Walls.
Now I wake up at Twilight,
To see Fireflies Trapped in Mud and Flame.
.

You and I,
Are Truth and lies,
I have been Fooling,
Myself.
For too Long.
.

.
You and I,
Now Breaking Ties,
How could We.
Be so Right,
And so Wrong.
.
