And as you can probably guess I opened the door. Revealing a flight of stone stairs without telling my friends I descended down them. Quickly they followed suit and we didn't share a word as we walked down those steps. The edge of each step was crumbling, leaving remnants of stone on each step below. A certain smell wafted up from the stairs. A smell like tar roads after rain. A smell that screamed'Impending danger! Beware!' And that just made me go down even quicker. Though, of course, I stopped when the darts rained onto us.

A wrong step triggered some trap that caused darts to blow from the walls of the staircase. For once my impulsive reactions helped me as I flew down the stairs just in time. Muna screamed from behind me and I breathed a sigh of relief. However, though my actions had succeeded in saving me from possibly poisonous darts they had also been successful in setting off another trap.

With a scream of, "Auralia, behind you!" And a duck from me I evaded a knife flying through the air. The rest of our descent down the stairs was accompanied by cries of my name and each cardinal direction until finally, we reached a door.

Inside was a sleeping boy. Not just any boy, no, my brother was there lying down. He looked just like I remembered him a few months ago and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I quickly blinked them away. August was the first one to get to the bed and we saw his eyebrows knit in confusion. " He looks like he's in perfect condition," He said warily like he didn't quite believe it, "Just asleep."

Jake and I joined him next. "Probably induced," Jake added.

I reached out my hand and raked it through his hair before I could stop myself. Daniel, I had missed him so much. We had fought a lot like all siblings and I  never thought I'd miss him as much as I did. "How can we wake him up?" I asked.

Muna grinned, "Some pain should do the trick,"  Before I could even get a word out she grabbed one of Jake's sais and poked Daniel's arm with the middle prong. Light enough so she didn't stab him but harsh enough to draw blood.

"Muna!'' I screamed, horrified. How did this girl's mind work? But all my anger melted away as Daniel's hand slowly raised to his arm, his face contorted in pain.

"Ow..." He muttered.

I couldn't help but throw my arms around him and squeeze. I also couldn't help the tears dripping down from my eyes.

"Too...tight," He said but I could feel him slightly shaking and I knew that he was crying too. And then everyone came and wrapped their arms around us. And just then I thought that everything was going to be alright. Happy feelings never last long in my life though.
