Teleporting back to Zora's Domain, they all rushed towards where the physician was to get Hayate and Kagami's mother, Vivian, treated immediately. The physician was preparing some medicine when he slightly jumped, hearing footsteps drawing closer. He turned around to see Link, Kagami supporting Hayate, and Sidon carrying Vivian. The physician stared at them for a moment, realizing what was going on. "Put those two on the beds, please."
Kagami helped Hayate get on the bed, and Sidon gently placed Vivian on the bed right next to him. Kagami was looking at Hayate, her eyes drifting over to her mother, trying to believe it was actually her. "Kagami..." Hayate's voice was a little weak when he said her name. "Don't worry. I'm fine. So please stop making that face."
Kagami's eyes wavered as she stared at the injured Hayate. "I'm sorry... This is just a lot to take in at the moment."
"I understand..." Hayate slowly turned his head, now looking at her mother. "That's your mother, huh?"
Kagami nodded. "Yes. I can't believe she was alive all this time... I thought she was killed with all of the others. But what makes me angry is that Ryuma has been keeping her prisoned all this time... No wonder she's in this kind of state..." Her hands balled up into fists, her face clearly frustrated.
The physician went by her side, putting a hand on her shoulder for reassurance. "I know it's a lot to take in, Kagami. I want to make these two better again. And thanks to the medicine you have been making for me, they will be better in no time."
"Thank you, doctor. I will leave the rest up to you." Kagami looked at Hayate and her mother one last time before leaving with Link and Sidon.
Outside of the physician's room, Link was scratching the back of his head with an unsure look on his face. "I would like to stay here longer to make sure they're fine, but... I need to get back to Gerudo Town to return the thunder helm, and appease the divine beast there. Hylian champion stuff and all..."
Kagami took out something from her satchel, handing it to Link. "Considering that the thunder helm will play a part in helping you appease the divine beast over there, you should take these electric elixirs to help you. I have a feeling you would need it."
Link received the elixirs from her, putting it away. "Thank you, Kagami. I owe you one." He then put a hand on her shoulder. "Let me know if anything happens. Take care."
Kagami nodded. "I will. Take care as well, Link." He gave her a silent nod before quickly teleporting away right in front of her eyes. Noticing that Sidon has been quiet all this time, she turned to him, only to see him spaced out, lost in his own thoughts. "Sidon? Are you alright?"
Sidon just blinked as he snapped out of it and looked at her. "I'm fine, Kagami. I'm just worried about Hayate and your mother. I hope that they will be alright..." Sidon shifted his eyes a little, trying to convince her that was his only reasoning.
"I know that they will recover. I do not wish to overwhelm my mother when she wakes up, but... I do have some questions to ask of her."
"I don't think your mother would mind since she will be happy to see you, and will gladly answer anything." Out of the blue, Sidon pulled her close into an embrace, squeezing his arms around her. Kagami felt Sidon's heart beating as her ear was right next to his chest. "I know it's silly since it was only a day, but... I missed you."
Kagami blushed a little hearing those words, feeling the same way. "I... Missed you too." She hugged back, embracing the warmth from his body, shortly remembering something important that she had to do. "Sidon."
"Yes, Kagami?"
"We both have to inform your father and Bazz that you are home safe and sound."
Sidon went wide eyed before releasing the embrace. "You're right! We shouldn't have them worry any longer!" He grabbed her hand, having her run with him towards the throne room.
Arriving in the throne room, Sidon and Kagami were together, hand in hand as they saw the faces of the king, Muzu, and Bazz.
"Your highness!" Bazz ran over to Sidon, relieved that the prince was safe and sound. "I'm so relieved to see that you're alright. What did those people do to you?"
"They only kept me as a prisoner, nothing more."
Bazz turned to Kagami, giving her a gratitude smile. "Thank you so much for saving him, Lady Kagami. You truly are the domain's hero."
Kagami slightly bowed her head in respect. "Thank you, but I couldn't have done it without Link and Hayate."
"You're right! But, uh... Where is Sir Hayate?"
Kagami looked down, a somewhat sad expression appeared on her face. "He got injured during the mission, so right now the physician is treating him."
Bazz's jaw slightly dropped hearing the news. "I see... I do pray that he will be alright." After a moment of silent, Bazz gestured them to step forward, discussing what has happened with King Dorephan.
King Dorephan had a smile on his face, relief in his eyes. "Sidon... I'm so happy to see you unharmed."
Sidon lowered his head a little. "Father... I'm sure you must have been worried... I'm so sorry for all the trouble..."
"Do not fret, Sidon... You didn't cause any trouble. I'm just so relieved that you're back here, and not at some unusual place that has put your life at risk." Sidon was silent then as King Dorephan turned to Kagami. "Kagami, thank you so much for rescuing my son. I'm saying this as a father, not as a king."
Kagami bowed, still showing the king respect even though he didn't thank her as a king. "You're very welcome, your majesty."
"I couldn't help but hear that Hayate has been injured. How bad is it?"
"Towards the end of a battle, Hayate jumped in front of an attack trying to protect me, and ended up taking the hit."
"Oh my... He's quite valiant, isn't he? I do hope that he get better."
"I do as well..." Kagami stopped, taking a deep breath in and out before saying the next thing. "Your majesty... While we were in the hideout trying to rescue Sidon, it has also turned out that the enemy had my own mother imprisoned this entire time. She is in the same room as Hayate getting treated... The enemy, who turned out to be my uncle, used her in order for me to be vulnerable in our fight."
King Dorephan's jaw dropped a little hearing the news. "Your mother is alive? That's some good news to hear. I know that you will be right by her side to support her."
"Yes, I will. I want to do everything I can to make sure she's fully recovered physically, mentally, and emotionally."
"I understand, Kagami. You may do as you must." King Dorephan turned to Sidon, seeing that his son was out of it the entire time. "Sidon? What's wrong?"
Sidon snapped out of his thoughts, looking up at his father. "I apologize, father. I just feel rather exhausted is all."
"You may rest up as it's understandable that you have had a long day."
Sidon nodded at his father as he turned to Kagami. "You try to get some rest, too. You need it after what has happened, and what has yet to come."
Kagami slightly nodded at Sidon, feeling somewhat sad that she wasn't going to talk with Sidon more after this. "I will. I feel exhausted as well. I will try to get some rest..."
Sidon gave her a small smile. "That's good to hear. I can walk you to your room if you like." Kagami nodded once more, answering him with a gesture.
During their walk to Kagami's room was silent and somewhat awkward as it felt like something else was bothering Sidon more than he lead on. Kagami didn't want to pry in case it was something personal, so she didn't want to darken the mood. "Good night Sidon. I'll see you in the morning."
"Good night, Kagami. I'll see you in the morning." Sidon repeated as he put his hand behind Kagami's head, gently giving her a kiss on the forehead. A soft pink blush appeared on her face as Sidon was walking out of her room.
