The next morning, Sidon and Hayate entered Kagami's room, only seeing her empty bed. They looked at one another confused and concerned. "I'll, uh... Ask around." Hayate rushed out of the room to go back to the domain. Taking another glance around the room, Sidon decided to do the same thing as he exited out of her room.
Meeting in front of Mipha's statue, Hayate and Sidon met up with each other while catching their breath. As Sidon was calming himself, he asked, "Did anyone know where she went?"
Hayate shook his head as he was calming his breathing as well. "No... No one knows where she went. But... We could check the grassy area. You know how often she goes there."
Sidon lightly bonked his head. "You're right. Why didn't we think of going there before?"
Hayate slightly snorted, shrugging his shoulders. "Probably because we freaked out not seeing her in her room. Come on, let's go." At the same time, both of them were heading towards the grassy area.
As they arrived there, they looked around the usual spots where Kagami could be, but to no avail. At the same time, both of them scratched their heads. "Where could she be..?" Sidon asked in a whisper.
As Hayate was looking around with his eyes, he spotted something unusual in the grass from afar. "Father! Let's check out what's over there!" Hayate pointed out as they both were headed towards the mysterious spot in the grass.
As they drew near, they discovered that it was a body of a light red female Zora. Sidon was concerned about the unconscious Zora, but was confused since he had never seen her before. "Who is this?"
Hayate was looking back and forward with Sidon and the unconscious Zora. "You don't know who this is? You're the prince! Aren't you supposed to know all of your people?"
"Yes, but I swear I have never seen this Zora before. I wonder where she came from..?" As he was saying that, the Zora was slowly waking up, staring up at Sidon and Hayate. "Are you feeling alright?"
The Zora slowly sat up as she put her hand on her head, looking like she was in some kind of pain. "I'm fine, but my head hurts..."
Sidon just blinked at the Zora, her voice sounding so familiar. "What's your name..?"
The Zora was looking at him like he had gone crazy. "What are you talking about, Sidon?"
Sidon and Hayate looked at one another, their jaws dropping. Sidon then turned towards the Zora. "Kagami? Is that you?"
"Yes..? Why are you talking to me as if I'm some stranger? I don't know why you-" She paused as she was staring at her hands that was no longer smooth flesh, but scaly. Quickly getting up, she rushed to the nearby pond, staring at her reflection as her eyes widen. "Oh my goodness..."
Sidon and Hayate went over to her side, surprised at Kagami's new form. "Kagami..." Sidon spoke up, "How did this happen?"
Kagami was thinking to herself for a moment, trying to remember what had happened last night. "Well... I remember getting out of bed for the first time in a few days. I was looking out the window when I spotted some white animal from afar. I ended up going to it, seeing that it was a kitsune and it was limping for some reason. As I was about to take it back to my room to treat it, all of a sudden, there was smoke surrounding me, and it felt like someone had kissed me... And when the smoke was gone, the kitsune was no longer there. Then a minute later, I started feeling very weak and I blacked out. That's all I can remember."
Sidon's eyes widen at the unusual story. "That's exactly what happened to me when I turned Hylian..."
Hayate looked like he was thinking to himself as he mumbled quietly, "I don't recall a white kitsune ever appearing..." As he was thinking more, it looked like he was putting it together as he slammed his fist down on his hand. "Ryuma!"
