Chapter 14: Ice Cream

<Maddie's POV>
"You shouldn't have pushed him." I whisper, Taylor grips my hand tighter. "Where are we going?"
No response.
"Taylor?" I run my cold fingers along his arm.
"I need to get as far away from Cameron as I can, before I blow up." Taylor bangs his head against the wall, "I'm so sorry Maddie.."
I rub Taylor's back, "Hey let's go get some ice cream"
Taylor sighs, "yeah sure."

The lady gives me a cookie with a bowl of chocolate ice cream, "thank you!" I say while taylor pays. "Sorry Tay I should have brought my purse, I could have paid."
"Nah I'll buy anything for you." He smiles & winks. "Oh I think you got something on your face!" He teases.
I quickly open the camera on my phone, "where I don't see anything?"
"Here." Taylor smears ice cream on my nose.
"Hey that's not cool!" I laugh, he kisses me on the cheek while taking a selfie.
"Aw look at how cute you are!" Taylor laughs, "that's going ok Instagram for sure."
"No oh my god Tay!" I helplessly try to take his phone but Taylor is ten times bigger than me.
"Please Tayyyyy"
"Don't whine baby, save it for tonight"
"You're such a perv." I playfully push him away from me.
"Oh you didn't just push THE Taylor Caniff now did you?" He bites his lip.
"What are you going to do about it 'baby'."
"What a little tease you are" big arms wrap around my waist & he spins me around.
"Okay let's not do this please." I walk towards the hotel, taylor grabs my hand.
"Do what? I'm just playing around with my fake girlfriend"
"I don't want to catch feelings"
"So you admit you like me."
"I didn't say that Tay, I need some time."
"I'll wait for you Maddie, I really really like you. I like the little things about you, the way your eyes sparkle whenever you talk about something you like, whenever you laugh over the weirdest things, I like how you can stand up for yourself, you're different than any other girl I've ever liked.." Taylor spills his heart out to me.
I'm completely speechless, "I have no idea what to say"
"Then just let it happen." Taylor pushes my hair behind my ear and leans in for a kiss. I put my hands on his chest, his lips are so soft.
"Maddie?" I quickly push Taylor off I me. Cameron stands a few feet away from us, he's wearing a tux and holding a dozen red roses.
"Cam it's-"
"Don't Maddie, you and Taylor are probably so happy together and I'm just some guy you dated. I'm just the guy that doesn't get the girl.. Why is it always me?" He turns away from us, "I've never felt this way about someone before Maddie.."
"I'll give you two a minute." Taylor rubs my shoulder but walks away.
"Cameron-"
"Let me speak." He drops the roses on the ground. "You're my inspiration in life, you're the sun to my moon, the water to my shore, you're my everything. I can't believe I went so low and hurt you, I don't know what I was thinking. I lost the most precious thing in my life, you." Cameron sits on the edge of the fountain, he puts his hands on his face. "I know you will never forgive me, but please just consider. I was at a low point before I met you.. I was thinking about taking my life, but when I saw you something changed. You changed me, you made me happy, but I lost it all. I'm so sorry"
He sits by the fountain for a few minutes. I have no clue what I say so I don't say Anything.
"I want you to be happy and if you're happy with taylor, then be with taylor.."
"Cam, I-I-I um, I don't know what to say, you have brought me to tears. My relationship with Tay was fake, until today. I'm so overwhelmed right now I just need some time, please just give me some time.."

Guys omfg I am so so sorry I haven't been updating! From now on I'll update every Wednesday & on Saturdays! I'll update everyday Wednesday around 5 central time.

I'll also have a spam Saturday where I'll update about 2-5 times that day! I think that might be every other week bc that's a lot of writing!

I really want this book to be popular, I'm thinking about how ill end the book & what's going to happen but that will be far from now.
