amelia jade was a part of tom riddle.

there would be no end to his ruling unless she was to vanish from the earth. unless she was to die.

tom riddle needed to gain his daughter into his care in order to protect the end of him. not only the end of him, but the end of what he had built.

as winter break would approach in two days time, amelia found herself sat in the astronomy tower.

it was a wednesday night and the sky was all but clear, not a a star in the sky. the weather reflected how amelia felt; dark.

she had been spending the majority of her time with draco malfoy, a boy who she knew affected her in a way she had never been. it wasn't to a point where she couldn't focus in class, but at a peak where she felt the connection to be by his side always.

draco malfoy had been recruited by lord voldemort as a death eater and amelia was all too aware. he told her one night after many meetings of questions between the two.

"you used to be beaming, draco," amelia stared, "now you're beginning to dim. what's happening?"

draco felt himself hold his breath, he knew that amelia was anything but ordinary. he had to tell her.

slowly he unbuttoned the wrist of his shirt, rolling it up to the middle of his arm, showcasing the dark mark placed in the center of his forearm.

amelia ran her fingers above the tattoo like feature, bewildered that it was in front of her very eyes.

"now you know," draco stared into amelia's eyes, he felt a sense of relief run over him as she gave him a small smile.

"now i know," amelia laughed and soon the two were chuckling. "i mean, this is bad, but you're draco."

she couldn't help but laugh. she would've never thought that the annoying draco malfoy from year one would be a death eater not even seven years later. it was all too ironic.

"well, thanks, amelia." draco shook his head, this girl was too much. he loved it.

with that in mind, amelia only grew more and more intrigued in tom riddle. and her nightmares only grew worse after the incident with draco and his dark mark.

it was as though her fingers grazing the dark mark brought upon a connection she had never had, like someone was hearing her thoughts.

"you look beautiful," draco smiled as he walked towards where amelia was sat.

"glad you decided to come,"

"wouldn't miss seeing you for the world, beautiful." draco was obsessed. he knew that he needed to calm down, but with everything going on, amelia was the only thing keeping him sane.

"you should come with me, for the break," draco explained.

amelia's eyes widened, "come with you... where?"

"to my home, of course," draco laughed.

"we aren't even a couple draco, that's all a bit too much, don't you think?" amelia was slightly bewildered at the blonde haired boys casualty.

"so? why would i want you to stay here, alone?"

amelia was confused, "so, why don't you stay here with me?"

draco scoffed, "amelia, come with me."

amelia shook her head, she was getting anxious, "that's so far fetched, draco. you're mental."

"be mine, amelia, and come with me."

amelia felt like her heart had just dropped into her stomach, it was all too much. one thing after another.

"i just- i really don't know, i'm sorry."

;

it was the day that everyone was heading home, amelia had decided to go to with willow to her home in wiltshire. the same town that malfoy manor was residing.

amelia hadn't spoken to draco since the night he asked her to be his, she was confused to say the least.

"willow headed down to the great hall, she told me to tell you to meet her there when you're ready." penelope told amelia as she walked into their dorm.

amelia quickly grabbed her small suitcase and exited the dorm, making sure she gave penelope a hug and promised to write her.

as she began her descent down the halls to the great hall a small hand quickly grabbed her wrist, dragging her into a small closet. before she could grab her wand from her back pocket, draco flicked the light switch on.

"are you mental? i was about to defend myself," amelia couldn't believe him.

"well, you've been ignoring me so i thought this was the best option, and you haven't run away yet so i think my plan proved best."

amelia felt awkward, she was going to take her time to herself on the winter break to figure out what was going on. but yet she was just brought right back into draco's arms.

"amelia, we've been good friends for several months now, there's no need to ignore me."

"several months," amelia could barely laugh, "this is all too much, draco. i really have feelings for you, i think, but you're asking too much of me."

draco could feel his smile drop, "well, if that's how you really feel."

"i'm not a normal girl, draco, i can't just up and decide 'yeah, you know what? let me go to draco malfoy's manor and meet his family and shove myself so far up his arse that i never tell him how i really feel.' that isn't me, i'm not that girl. i know i like you, draco. i know i like you a lot, and i don't want to ruin this.. this happy stage."

"so that's it? you just want to like me and never be with me, huh, amelia? because you aren't making any sense-"

before draco could continue with his antics, amelia leaned in on the tips of her toes placing a kiss on his lips.

"i'm going to stay at willow's," she sighed, "you know where she lives." and with that, she exited the closet and headed off to find willow.

draco malfoy had never been so confused.
