draco malfoy and amelia riddle knew their fate was about to change, draco's for the worse, amelia's for the better.
after draco had owled lucius malfoy about the circumstances with willow hendricks, the dark lord informed lucius to have the children return to malfoy manor immediately.
the malfoy's knew that voldemort's use of children meant amelia's fate was about to be sealed.
so as draco and amelia approached the gate to malfoy manor, amelia reassuringly squeezed her boyfriends hand.
"it will all be okay," amelia looked up at draco, "this will be what's best— i, i'll make sure you and your family are safe."
nodding his head, unsure of what to say, draco lead the way into the manor.
narcissa and lucius malfoy stood at the entrance of their home for over an hour, impatiently awaiting the arrival of their son and the girl he was never apart from.
"finally," lucius spoke harshly as the two teenagers walked into the foyer, "the dark lord wishes to speak with you, amelia."
draco's eyes nearly fell out of his head as he collected what his father had just spoken.
"are you mad? there's no way i'm letting her go in there alone!" draco pushed amelia's petite body behind him as if it would hide her.
"that's enough, draco," narcissa narrowed her eyes at her son who was about to cause a ruckus.
"there's no way i'm letting her in there alone—"
amelia placed her hand on draco's forearm, "it's fine, i'll be fine. where am i going?"
before draco could interject, lucius gave amelia a small smile, leading her down the hall towards the dining room.
draco felt as if his heart had fallen out of his body, and before he realized it, a large sob escaped past his lips.
"shh draco, it will be fine," narcissa took her son into her arms as he sank into the floor.
the tears didn't stop flowing from draco's eyes as the events from the last several months flooded his memory.
"it won't be fine— voldemort, he's amelia's father. she's going to become a killer, mum."
narcissa's eyes widened at her sons revelation, knowing all too well that draco was right, for once. nothing was going to be fine.
